| NGINX Open Source and NGINX Plus have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_mp4_module, which might allow an attacker to over-read NGINX worker memory resulting in its termination, using a specially crafted mp4 file. The issue only affects NGINX if it is built with the ngx_http_mp4_module and the mp4 directive is used in the configuration file. Additionally, the attack is possible only if an attacker can trigger the processing of a specially crafted mp4 file with the ngx_http_mp4_module. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |

The issue occurs in cmd_to_func when the call_pkg->nd_reserved2
array is accessed without verifying that call_pkg points to a buffer
that is appropriately sized as a struct nd_cmd_pkg. This can lead
to out-of-bounds access and undefined behavior if the buffer does not
have sufficient space.
To address this, a check was added in acpi_nfit_ctl() to ensure that
buf is not NULL and that buf_len is less than sizeof(*call_pkg)
before accessing it. This ensures safe access to the members of
call_pkg, including the nd_reserved2 array. |

Since an invalid (without '\0' byte at all) byte sequence may be passed
from userspace, add an extra check to ensure that such a sequence is
rejected as possible ID and so never passed to 'kstrdup()' and further. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix Out-of-Bounds Read in ksmbd_vfs_stream_read
An offset from client could be a negative value, It could lead
to an out-of-bounds read from the stream_buf.
Note that this issue is coming when setting
'vfs objects = streams_xattr parameter' in ksmbd.conf. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Check validity of link->type in bpf_link_show_fdinfo()
If a newly-added link type doesn't invoke BPF_LINK_TYPE(), accessing
bpf_link_type_strs[link->type] may result in an out-of-bounds access.
To spot such missed invocations early in the future, checking the
validity of link->type in bpf_link_show_fdinfo() and emitting a warning
when such invocations are missed. |

igb: Fix potential invalid memory access in igb_init_module()
The pci_register_driver() can fail and when this happened, the dca_notifier
needs to be unregistered, otherwise the dca_notifier can be called when
igb fails to install, resulting to invalid memory access. |

| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. In affected versions a missing offset validation may lead to an Out Of Bound Read in the function `gdi_multi_opaque_rect`. In particular there is no code to validate if the value `multi_opaque_rect->numRectangles` is less than 45. Looping through `multi_opaque_rect->`numRectangles without proper boundary checks can lead to Out-of-Bounds Read errors which will likely lead to a crash. This issue has been addressed in versions 2.11.0 and 3.0.0-beta3. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. |

Affected versions are subject to an Out-Of-Bounds Read in the `nsc_rle_decompress_data` function. The Out-Of-Bounds Read occurs because it processes `context->Planes` without checking if it contains data of sufficient length. | FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. Affected versions are subject to a missing offset validation leading to Out Of Bound Read. In the `libfreerdp/codec/rfx.c` file there is no offset validation in `tile->quantIdxY`, `tile->quantIdxCb`, and `tile->quantIdxCr`. As a result crafted input can lead to an out of bounds read access which in turn will cause a crash. This issue has been addressed in versions 2.11.0 and 3.0.0-beta3. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. |
| FreeRDP is a free remote desktop protocol library and clients. Affected versions of FreeRDP may attempt integer addition on too narrow types leads to allocation of a buffer too small holding the data written. A malicious server can trick a FreeRDP based client to read out of bound data and send it back to the server. This issue has been addressed in version 2.9.0 and all users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should not use the `/usb` redirection switch. |
