CVSS v3.1 |
| X509AuthenticationProvider could issue a fully authenticated X509AuthenticationToken when a presented certificate mapped to UserDetails, without applying Spring Security's standard account lifecycle checks (disabled, locked, expired, or credentials-expired accounts).
Affected versions:
Spring Web Services 5.0.0 through 5.0.1; 4.1.0 through 4.1.3; 4.0.0 through 4.0.18; 3.1.0 through 3.1.8. |
| Wss4jSecurityInterceptor defaulted allowRSA15KeyTransportAlgorithm to true, overriding Apache WSS4J's safer default for validation RequestData. Inbound WS-Security decryption could therefore accept RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 (rsa-1_5) encrypted key material unless operators explicitly reconfigured the flag.
Affected versions:
Spring Web Services 5.0.0 through 5.0.1; 4.1.0 through 4.1.3; 4.0.0 through 4.0.18; 3.1.0 through 3.1.8. |
| Several Spring WS integration paths with Spring Security could surface detailed account state (for example locked or disabled user semantics) to remote SOAP clients through exception messages or callback outcomes, instead of failing with generic authentication errors. That behavior assists remote attackers in distinguishing valid accounts from invalid ones and inferring lifecycle state.
Affected versions:
Spring Web Services 5.0.0 through 5.0.1; 4.1.0 through 4.1.3; 4.0.0 through 4.0.18; 3.1.0 through 3.1.8. |
| In versions of Spring Authorization Server 1.5.0 through 1.5.7, the authorization endpoint performs insufficient validation of the request_uri parameter. An attacker can craft a request containing an invalid request_uri paired with an unvalidated redirect_uri, which can result in an open redirect to an attacker-controlled site. |
| Spring Web Services, versions 2.4.3, 3.0.4, and older unsupported versions of all three projects, were susceptible to XML External Entity Injection (XXE) when receiving XML data from untrusted sources. |
| Applications that deserialize execution contexts with Jackson2ExecutionContextStringSerializer are vulnerable to a deserialization attack if they use an untrusted data source for the job repository. The JobParameterDeserializer does not properly enforce the trusted-types allowlist, allowing an attacker to craft malicious input that can lead to arbitrary code execution, including known Jackson RCE gadgets.
Spring Batch 6.0.0 - 6.0.4
Spring Batch 5.2.0 - 5.2.6 |
| In Reactor Core, applications that use the Flux.bufferTimeout operator with fairBackpressure enabled are vulnerable to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition.
Reactor Core 3.8.0 - 3.8.6
Reactor Core 3.7.19 and earlier |
| Spring Batch's FlatFileItemReader supports files where a single logical record spans multiple physical lines — for example, a CSV field that contains embedded newlines wrapped in quotes. A specially crafted input file could exploit the way the reader assembles those multi-line records to consume excessive CPU time and memory, causing the batch job to stall or run out of memory.
Spring Batch 6.0.0 - 6.0.4
Spring Batch 5.2.0 - 5.2.6
Spring Batch 4.3.0 - 4.3.13 |
| When configured to enable default typing, Jackson contained a deserialization vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary code execution. Jackson fixed this vulnerability by blacklisting known "deserialization gadgets". Spring Batch configures Jackson with global default typing enabled which means that through the previous exploit, arbitrary code could be executed if all of the following is true: * Spring Batch's Jackson support is being leveraged to serialize a job's ExecutionContext. * A malicious user gains write access to the data store used by the JobRepository (where the data to be deserialized is stored). In order to protect against this type of attack, Jackson prevents a set of untrusted gadget classes from being deserialized. Spring Batch should be proactive against blocking unknown "deserialization gadgets" when enabling default typing. |
| Spring Batch versions 3.0.9, 4.0.1, 4.1.0, and older unsupported versions, were susceptible to XML External Entity Injection (XXE) when receiving XML data from untrusted sources. |
| There is no allow list for property keys when Spring Cloud Commons writable /actuator/env is enabled.
Spring Cloud Commons 5.0.0 - 5.0.2
Spring Cloud Commons 4.3.0 - 4.3.3
Spring Cloud Commons 4.0.0 - 4.2.6
Spring Cloud Commons 3.1.10 and earlier |
| Spring Authorization Server's default consent page renders user-controlled values without HTML entity encoding. When using the DefaultConsentPage, an attacker can craft an OAuth2 authorization request containing a malicious value that is stored server-side and later rendered unencoded in the default consent page presented to the end user.
Spring Authorization Server 1.5.0 - 1.5.8
Spring Authorization Server 1.4.0 - 1.4.11 |
| VMware Avi Load Balancer contains an authentication bypass vulnerability. A malicious user with network access may be able to access the Avi Control plane by bypassing the authentication mechanism.
