CVE-2026-64085 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) bounce blackbox records through a protocol-sized buffer adm1266_pmbus_block_xfer() copies the device-supplied block payload into the caller-provided buffer using the device-supplied length: memcpy(data_r, &msgs[1].buf[1], msgs[1].buf[0]); The helper does not know how large data_r is and trusts the device to return at most one record's worth of bytes. adm1266_nvmem_read_blackbox() violates that contract: it advances read_buff inside data->dev_mem in ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE (64-byte) strides while the helper is willing to write up to ADM1266_PMBUS_BLOCK_MAX (255) bytes. A device that returns more than 64 bytes on the trailing record (read_buff offset 1984 in the 2048-byte dev_mem allocation) overflows dev_mem by up to 191 bytes before the post-call if (ret != ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE) return -EIO; can reject the response. Contain the fix in the caller without changing the helper signature: read each record into a 255-byte local bounce buffer that matches the helper's maximum output, validate the returned length, and only then copy exactly ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE bytes into the dev_mem slot.

CVE-2025-22104 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-09-02 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ibmvnic: Use kernel helpers for hex dumps Previously, when the driver was printing hex dumps, the buffer was cast to an 8 byte long and printed using string formatters. If the buffer size was not a multiple of 8 then a read buffer overflow was possible. Therefore, create a new ibmvnic function that loops over a buffer and calls hex_dump_to_buffer instead. CVE-2026-82343 2 Gimp, Redhat 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux 2026-09-01 6.1 Medium
A flaw was found in the file-psd plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted PSD image file, the plugin does not properly validate the channel-count parameter. This incorrect validation leads to improper memory bounds checking, resulting in both a heap out-of-bounds read and a stack out-of-bounds access. This issue can result in an application crash, leading to a denial of service or a limited information disclosure of memory contents.
CVE-2026-76651 1 Tp-link 1 Tl-wr841n V14 2026-09-01 N/A
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the embedded HTTP service in TL-WR841N v14 when processing multipart/form-data requests. Insufficient validation of an attacker-controlled boundary parameter may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to submit a crafted request that corrupts memory by overwriting data beyond the bounds of an internal buffer. Successful exploitation may result in modification or corruption of process memory, potentially leading to undefined application behavior. Arbitrary code execution, information disclosure, and denial-of-service conditions have not been demonstrated.

CVE-2026-80672 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-29 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fix u16 truncation of restart-area length check ntfs_check_restart_area() validates that the $LogFile restart area and its trailing log client record array fit within the system page size: u16 ra_ofs, ra_len, ca_ofs; ... ra_len = ca_ofs + le16_to_cpu(ra->log_clients) * sizeof(struct log_client_record); if (ra_ofs + ra_len > le32_to_cpu(rp->system_page_size) || ...) return false; ra_len is u16, but the right-hand side is computed in size_t (sizeof(struct log_client_record) == 160). Both ca_ofs and log_clients come straight from the on-disk restart area. With an on-disk log_clients of 410 the product 410 * 160 = 65600; adding ca_ofs and storing into the u16 ra_len truncates modulo 65536 (e.g. ca_ofs 64 gives ra_len 128), so the "fits in the page" check passes even though the client array described by log_clients extends far beyond the page. ntfs_check_log_client_array() then walks the array bounded only by the on-disk log_clients count: cr = ca + idx; if (cr->prev_client != LOGFILE_NO_CLIENT) ... For log_clients 410 it dereferences records up to ca + 409 * 160, ~64 KiB past the kvzalloc(system_page_size) restart-page buffer -- an out-of-bounds read of attacker-controlled extent, reachable when a crafted NTFS image is mounted (load_and_check_logfile() at mount time). This is the in-kernel analogue of CVE-2022-30789, fixed in the ntfs-3g userspace driver but never in this revived classic driver. Compute the restart-area length in a u32 so the existing bounds check rejects an over-large client array instead of being defeated by the truncation. Widen ra_ofs and ca_ofs to u32 as well: both are loaded from __le16 on-disk fields and every comparison already promotes to int/size_t, so this changes no result and keeps the declaration uniform.
