CVSS v3.1 |
| A weakness in the BSON library's handling of a specialized binary vector data type allows an arithmetic wraparound when computing the number of elements described by an oversized attacker-supplied value. On builds where the platform word size is 32 bits, an application that parses untrusted BSON data can be made to process only a small fraction of the supplied elements while the operation reports success, producing results that disagree with byte-oriented accessors and with 64-bit builds of the same library. No authentication or user interaction is required beyond getting the application to parse the data. The impact is limited to data integrity; memory safety is not affected and no information is disclosed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/waitid: prevent cancel reference wrap
io_waitid packs the cancellation state into bit 31 of ->refs and uses
bits 30:0 as a 31-bit reference counter:
#define IO_WAITID_CANCEL_FLAG BIT(31)
#define IO_WAITID_REF_MASK GENMASK(30, 0)
__io_waitid_cancel() marks a request canceled, then increments the low
bits of ->refs to claim completion ownership. When another path owns the
request, the increment remains even though cancellation returns false.
The request remains discoverable by cancellation, so repeated failed
attempts can wrap the 31-bit reference field to zero. A later
cancellation can claim ownership and complete the request a second time.
Use atomic_fetch_or() when setting the cancel flag and inspect the old
flag value. The first cancel attempt continues to the existing ownership
increment, preserving its wake and issuer handoff semantics. Later
attempts see the cancel flag and return without incrementing the
reference field.
This makes repeated failed cancellation attempts idempotent while
leaving the first-cancel state transitions unchanged. |
| A vulnerability was determined in Netcore NBR100V2 1.3.240614.030928. Affected by this issue is the function msg_aes_dec of the file /usr/bin/auto_ac. This manipulation causes integer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/napi: make stale entries time out after 60s
With dynamic tracking a NAPI id that hasn't been seen for a minute is
meant to be dropped from the list the ring busy polls. The timeout is
added to jiffies, but it is defined as 60 * SEC_CONVERSION, and
SEC_CONVERSION isn't the number of jiffies in a second. It is the
internal factor of __timespec64_to_jiffies(), HZ scaled up by
SEC_JIFFIE_SC bits. For HZ=1000 that is 1000 << 22, which puts the
timeout at about eight years. On 32-bit the multiplication overflows.
So entries are never removed, and every id that a socket of the ring
ever had keeps being polled on each wait. |
| An integer overflow in the DDS RGB888 loader of AMD Compressonator SDK could allow an attacker to supply a crafted DDS file that causes an undersized heap allocation and a subsequent out-of-bounds read, potentially resulting in process termination or limited disclosure of heap memory. |
| In multiple locations, there is a possible out of bounds write due to an integer overflow. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| An integer overflow was found in Corosync's handling of membership commit token messages. The length-validation check for these messages can be bypassed on 32-bit systems due to an integer overflow in the calculation of the expected message length, allowing a crafted network packet to trigger an out-of-bounds memory access that crashes the Corosync daemon. This results in a denial of service for the affected cluster node. The overflow does not occur on 64-bit systems, where the length calculation is correctly performed in 64-bit arithmetic. |
| A flaw was found in the GStreamer JPEG 2000 decimator in gst-plugins-bad. Crafted JPEG 2000 media can cause integer overflows or division by zero during tile processing. An application that processes the malicious media may crash, resulting in a denial of service. |
| An integer overflow condition in the AMD Compressonator SDK could allow an attacker with local access to supply a specially crafted DirectDraw Surface (DDS) file, potentially resulting in denial of service (DoS). |
| MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. From 3.0.0 until 3.3.7, 3.4.5, and 3.5.10, the ReadableByteBuf.readLength() and ReadableByteBuf.readIntLengthEncodedNotNull() methods narrowed the protocol's unsigned 8-byte length-encoded integer to a Java int without checking that the value fit a non-negative integer. Values above Integer.MAX_VALUE could wrap to a negative or unrelated length that downstream allocation and read paths used. A malicious or compromised server, or a machine-in-the-middle attacker, could trigger NegativeArraySizeException, out-of-bounds failures, or oversized allocation behavior in client connection handling. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.7, 3.4.5, and 3.5.10. |
| An integer overflow in the MessagePack\BufferUnpacker component of rybakit/msgpack versions prior to 0.11.0 allows attackers to cause a denial of service via crafted MessagePack input when the application runs on 32-bit PHP |
| QuickJS-NG before 0.16.0 contains an integer overflow in js_proxy_get_own_property_names() in quickjs.c that causes a heap buffer overflow on 32-bit hosts. Attackers running JavaScript can return a large array-like object from a Proxy ownKeys trap to wrap the allocation size, causing crashes or potential code execution. |
| QuickJS-NG before 0.16.0 contains an integer overflow in js_typed_array_sort() in quickjs.c that allows attackers to cause a heap buffer overflow on 32-bit hosts. Attackers who can run JavaScript can call TypedArray.prototype.sort with a comparator on a typed array near 2^30 elements, wrapping the allocation size and writing indices past the buffer to crash or potentially execute code. |
| Blender before 4.5.15 and 5.x before 5.2.3 contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the blend file thumbnail extractor caused by 32-bit integer overflow in thumb_data_vertical_flip(). Attackers can craft a .blend file with malicious TEST block dimensions that trigger an out-of-bounds write when blender-thumbnailer or the Windows shell extension previews it, causing crashes or code execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: correct reservation fence slots for userq per-vm BOs eviction
It fixes both the move overflow and the eviction fence add for
evicting these per-vm BOs. |
| Blender before 4.5.15 and 5.x before 5.2.3 contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability caused by integer overflow in ptcache_data_alloc() when reading point cache files. Attackers can supply a crafted point cache file with a large totpoint value alongside a .blend file to crash Blender or execute code as the user. |
| Assimp through 6.0.5 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in MD2Importer::ValidateHeader() that allows attackers to bypass frame table bounds checks using crafted header fields. Attackers can supply a malicious .md2 file whose numFrames and numVertices values wrap the 32-bit size check, causing heap out-of-bounds reads that crash applications or expose adjacent heap memory. |
| A flaw was found in GStreamer. An integer overflow vulnerability in the AV1 LEB128 variable-length integer parser allows a remote attacker to cause a crash in applications that process AV1 media content. By crafting a malformed AV1 bitstream containing an invalid LEB128-encoded value, an attacker can cause integer overflow in the parser, resulting in incorrect length values being used during stream processing, which can lead to a denial of service. |
| Several psqlODBC entry points use an application-supplied column number or row index as an array index without validating it. SQLBindCol with a column number above 32767 wraps the binding count negative and a later copy runs off the array. A negative SQL_DESC_COUNT on an application row descriptor unbinds columns at negative indexes. SQLColAttribute with a very large column number uses a negative index. SQLSetPos(SQL_ADD) does not check the row number against the rowset size. An application that forwards untrusted column or row numbers exposes its process to out-of-bounds reads and writes. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected. |
| Scribus before 1.6.7 and 1.7.x before 1.7.4 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the scimgdataloader_tiff TIFF loader that allows attackers to trigger a heap overflow via crafted tile dimensions. Attackers can supply a tiled TIFF with large tile width, height and sample values for a user to import, corrupting heap memory to crash Scribus or execute code. |
