CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: validate inherited ACE SID length
smb_inherit_dacl() walks the parent directory DACL loaded from the
security descriptor xattr. It verifies that each ACE contains the fixed
SID header before using it, but does not verify that the variable-length
SID described by sid.num_subauth is fully contained in the ACE.
A malformed inheritable ACE can advertise more subauthorities than are
present in the ACE. compare_sids() may then read past the ACE.
smb_set_ace() also clamps the copied destination SID, but used the
unchecked source SID count to compute the inherited ACE size. That could
advance the temporary inherited ACE buffer pointer and nt_size accounting
past the allocated buffer.
Fix this by validating the parent ACE SID count and SID length before
using the SID during inheritance. Compute the inherited ACE size from the
copied SID so the size matches the bounded destination SID. Reject the
inherited DACL if size accumulation would overflow smb_acl.size or the
security descriptor allocation size. |

ima: verify the previous kernel's IMA buffer lies in addressable RAM
Patch series "Address page fault in ima_restore_measurement_list()", v3.
When the second-stage kernel is booted via kexec with a limiting command
line such as "mem=<size>" we observe a pafe fault that happens.
BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffff97793ff47000
RIP: ima_restore_measurement_list+0xdc/0x45a
#PF: error_code(0x0000) not-present page
This happens on x86_64 only, as this is already fixed in aarch64 in
commit: cbf9c4b9617b ("of: check previous kernel's ima-kexec-buffer
against memory bounds")
This patch (of 3):
When the second-stage kernel is booted with a limiting command line (e.g.
"mem=<size>"), the IMA measurement buffer handed over from the previous
kernel may fall outside the addressable RAM of the new kernel. Accessing
such a buffer can fault during early restore.
Introduce a small generic helper, ima_validate_range(), which verifies
that a physical [start, end] range for the previous-kernel IMA buffer lies
within addressable memory:
- On x86, use pfn_range_is_mapped().
- On OF based architectures, use page_is_ram(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iavf: fix out-of-bounds writes in iavf_get_ethtool_stats()
iavf incorrectly uses real_num_tx_queues for ETH_SS_STATS. Since the
value could change in runtime, we should use num_tx_queues instead.
Moreover iavf_get_ethtool_stats() uses num_active_queues while
iavf_get_sset_count() and iavf_get_stat_strings() use
real_num_tx_queues, which triggers out-of-bounds writes when we do
"ethtool -L" and "ethtool -S" simultaneously [1].
For example when we change channels from 1 to 8, Thread 3 could be
scheduled before Thread 2, and out-of-bounds writes could be triggered
in Thread 3:
Thread 1 (ethtool -L) Thread 2 (work) Thread 3 (ethtool -S)
iavf_set_channels()
...
iavf_alloc_queues()
-> num_active_queues = 8
iavf_schedule_finish_config()
iavf_get_sset_count()
real_num_tx_queues: 1
-> buffer for 1 queue
iavf_get_ethtool_stats()
num_active_queues: 8
-> out-of-bounds!
iavf_finish_config()
-> real_num_tx_queues = 8
Use immutable num_tx_queues in all related functions to avoid the issue.

| Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to 1.9.0, OpenIDImplicitGrant.validate_authorization_request() checks the client-controlled raw request.payload.scope for openid after the parent grant has filtered allowed scopes into request.scope. A registered client permitted an ID token response type but not the openid scope can add openid to the request, obtain user consent, and receive a signed ID token containing the user's subject and allowed profile claims. Authorization code flow and deployments that allow openid for every client permitted an ID token response are not affected. In authlib/oidc/core/grants/implicit.py, OpenIDImplicitGrant.validate_authorization_request() checks request.payload.scope instead of the filtered request.scope. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0. |
| Authlib is a Python library which builds OAuth and OpenID Connect servers. Prior to 1.9.0, OpenIDMixin.parse_id_token() reads the nonce_supported decision from the untrusted ID token being validated and sets the expected nonce to null when that claim is the JSON boolean false. In implicit and hybrid relying parties, or applications that directly accept externally supplied ID tokens, an attacker with a captured validly signed token can bypass the nonce-to-session binding and replay the victim's token into an attacker-controlled session. Plain authorization code flow is not affected, and the token must still pass signature, issuer, and audience validation. OpenIDMixin.parse_id_token() trusts nonce_supported in both authlib/integrations/base_client/sync_openid.py and authlib/integrations/base_client/async_openid.py to disable the expected nonce. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.0. |

| The Jupiter X Core plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'forget_password_link' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.61.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. |
| Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. Prior to 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3, applications using custom middleware are vulnerable when they pass an unchanged browser request URL to server.transformIndexHtml. getHtmlFilename uses the query-bearing request URL to resolve an existing local file while preserving attacker-supplied leading slashes in the generated proxy module URL. If the transformed HTML contains an inline module script and a victim browser loads the crafted development-server page, the leading double slash makes the browser fetch and execute an attacker-controlled module in the Vite-served page. This execution can expose sensitive page data or permit critical actions available to the affected application. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3. |
| Vyper before 0.2.9 deploys forwarder proxies through the built-in create_forwarder_to function that report a fixed 4096-byte RETURNDATASIZE rather than the actual return data size. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: lan966x: restore RX state on reload failure
lan966x_fdma_reload() backs up rx->page_pool and rx->fdma before
reallocating the RX resources for the new MTU. If the allocation fails,
the restore path puts these fields back before restarting RX.
However, the reload path also updates rx->page_order and rx->max_mtu
before calling lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc(). These fields are not restored on
failure, so RX can be restarted with the old pages, old FDMA state and
old page pool, but with the page geometry from the failed new MTU.
This can make the XDP path advertise a frame size derived from the new
page_order while the actual RX pages still come from the old allocation.
For example, after a failed reload to a jumbo MTU, xdp_init_buff() may be
called with a frame size larger than the restored RX pages.
lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc_page_pool() also registers the newly allocated page
pool with each port's XDP RXQ before fdma_alloc_coherent() is called. If
fdma_alloc_coherent() fails, the new page pool is destroyed, but the
rollback path does not restore the per-port XDP RXQ mem model
registration either.
Save and restore rx->page_order and rx->max_mtu, and restore the old page
pool registration for each port's XDP RXQ before RX is started again.
This keeps the restored RX state consistent after a failed reload. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/net: populate CONNECT filter fields for 24-byte sockaddr_in6
io_connect_bpf_populate() fills connect.port and connect.v6_addr for
AF_INET6 only when addr_len >= sizeof(struct sockaddr_in6), i.e. 28
bytes.
The IPv6 connect paths accept SIN6_LEN_RFC2133 (24 bytes), which
already holds sin6_port and sin6_addr. io_connect() passes addr_len to
the socket layer unchanged.
At addr_len 24 the filter sees family AF_INET6 with port and address
zero, while the kernel connects to the real destination. A filter that
denies an IPv6 port or address is bypassed. Denying connect.port == P
rejects [::1]:P with -EACCES at addr_len 28 but connects at addr_len 24.
Use SIN6_LEN_RFC2133 as the threshold. sin6_scope_id stays zero when
absent.
The threshold mismatch was found by an AI coding assistant (Claude Code)
comparing this hook against the net/ipv6 length checks on my
instructions; it also drafted the reproducer and this patch. I verified
the bypass and the fix in a VM on 7.3-rc6 and that 7.2 has the same
code. |
| The extension hides the correct answer to each CAPTCHA inside the image data of the CAPTCHA itself. Anyone who can request a CAPTCHA image can read the answer from it and submit it, so automated clients can pass the challenge. This applies to the default configuration, because the audio feature that causes the answer to be embedded is enabled by default. Forms that rely on the CAPTCHA as their only protection against automated submissions are exposed to abuse by bots. |

| Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 SMTP MIME Decoder that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart.
This vulnerability is due to a lack of error checking when the MIME fields of the SMTP header are parsed. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted SMTP packets through an established connection to be parsed by Snort 3. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition when the Snort 3 Detection Engine unexpectedly restarts. |
