CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: stm32/cryp - call finalize with bh disabled
The finalize operation in interrupt mode produce a produces a spinlock
recursion warning. The reason is the fact that BH must be disabled
during this process. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bluetooth/hci: disallow setting handle bigger than HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX
Syzbot hit warning in hci_conn_del() caused by freeing handle that was
not allocated using ida allocator.
This is caused by handle bigger than HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX passed by
hci_le_big_sync_established_evt(), which makes code think it's unset
connection.
Add same check for handle upper bound as in hci_conn_set_handle() to
prevent warning. |

wifi: ath12k: fix kernel crash during resume
Currently during resume, QMI target memory is not properly handled, resulting
in kernel crash in case DMA remap is not supported:
BUG: Bad page state in process kworker/u16:54 pfn:36e80

The reason is:
Once ath12k module is loaded, firmware sends memory request to host. In case
DMA remap not supported, ath12k refuses the first request due to failure in
allocating with large segment size:
ath12k_pci 0000:04:00.0: qmi firmware request memory request

ath12k_pci 0000:04:00.0: qmi mem seg type 1 size 524288
Now ath12k is working. If suspend is triggered, firmware will be reloaded
during resume. As same as before, firmware requests two large segments at
first. In ath12k_qmi_msg_mem_request_cb() segment count and size are
assigned:
ab->qmi.mem_seg_count == 2
ab->qmi.target_mem[0].size == 7077888
ab->qmi.target_mem[1].size == 8454144
Then allocation failed like before and ath12k_qmi_free_target_mem_chunk()
is called to free all allocated segments. Note the first segment is skipped
because its v.addr is cleared due to allocation failure:
chunk->v.addr = dma_alloc_coherent()
Also note that this leaks that segment because it has not been freed.
While freeing the second segment, a size of 8454144 is passed to
dma_free_coherent(). However remember that this segment is allocated at
the first time firmware is loaded, before suspend. So its real size is
524288, much smaller than 8454144. As a result kernel found we are freeing
some memory which is in use and thus cras

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/slab: make __free(kfree) accept error pointers
Currently, if an automatically freed allocation is an error pointer that
will lead to a crash. An example of this is in wm831x_gpio_dbg_show().
171 char *label __free(kfree) = gpiochip_dup_line_label(chip, i);
172 if (IS_ERR(label)) {
173 dev_err(wm831x->dev, "Failed to duplicate label\n");
174 continue;
175 }
The auto clean up function should check for error pointers as well,
otherwise we're going to keep hitting issues like this. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ftrace: Fix NULL pointer dereference in is_ftrace_trampoline when ftrace is dead
ftrace_startup does not remove ops from ftrace_ops_list when
ftrace_startup_enable fails:
register_ftrace_function
ftrace_startup
__register_ftrace_function
...
add_ftrace_ops(&ftrace_ops_list, ops)
...
...
ftrace_startup_enable // if ftrace failed to modify, ftrace_disabled is set to 1
...
return 0 // ops is in the ftrace_ops_list.
When ftrace_disabled = 1, unregister_ftrace_function simply returns without doing anything:
unregister_ftrace_function
ftrace_shutdown
if (unlikely(ftrace_disabled))
return -ENODEV; // return here, __unregister_ftrace_function is not executed,
// as a result, ops is still in the ftrace_ops_list
__unregister_ftrace_function
...
If ops is dynamically allocated, it will be free later, in this case,
is_ftrace_trampoline accesses NULL pointer:
is_ftrace_trampoline
ftrace_ops_trampoline
do_for_each_ftrace_op(op, ftrace_ops_list) // OOPS! op may be NULL!
Syzkaller reports as follows:

cpufreq: pcc: fix use-after-free and double free in _OSC evaluation
pcc_cpufreq_do_osc() calls acpi_evaluate_object() twice for the
two-phase _OSC negotiation. Between the two calls it freed
output.pointer but left output.length unchanged. Since
acpi_evaluate_object() treats a non-zero length with a non-NULL
pointer as an existing buffer to write into, the second call wrote
into freed memory (use-after-free). The subsequent kfree(output.pointer)
at out_free then freed the same pointer a second time (double free).
Reset output.pointer to NULL and output.length to ACPI_ALLOCATE_BUFFER
after freeing the first result, so ACPICA allocates a fresh buffer for
each phase independently. |

pinctrl: meson: amlogic-a4: fix deadlock issue
Accessing the pinconf-pins sysfs node may deadlock.
pinconf_pins_show() holds pctldev->mutex, and the platform driver
calls pinctrl_find_gpio_range_from_pin(), which tries to acquire
the same mutex again, leading to a deadlock.
Use pinctrl_find_gpio_range_from_pin_nolock() to fix this issue. |
| DSSRF is a Node.js library that provides a wide range of utilities and advanced SSRF defense checks. Prior to 1.0.4, is_url_safe in src/helpers.ts strips the @ userinfo delimiter with remove_at_symbol_in_string before new URL parses the URL, allowing an attacker-controlled URL to bypass internal-IP validation and cause a client using the original URL to reach an internal service. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.4. |

Prior to 4.1.11 and 4.2.6 on Windows, the RabbitMQ management plugin static file handler rabbit_mgmt_wm_static can pass URL-encoded backslashes to erl_prim_loader:read_file_info before path validation when multiple management extension plugins are enabled, causing outbound DNS and SMB requests to attacker-controlled UNC paths. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.11 and 4.2.6. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: use kvfree() for replaced sysctl write buffer
proc_sys_call_handler() allocates its temporary sysctl buffer with
kvzalloc() and passes it to __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_sysctl(). Since
kvzalloc() may fall back to vmalloc() for large allocations, freeing
that buffer with kfree() is wrong and can corrupt memory.
Use kvfree() to safely handle both kmalloc and kvzalloc()/vmalloc
allocations.
The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are
developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing
v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly
available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still
present in v7.1-rc5.
Reproduced the bug based on v7.1-rc4 in a QEMU x86_64 guest booted with
KASAN and CONFIG_FAILSLAB enabled. To exercise the replacement path, the
test tree also included the accompanying fix for the stale ret == 1
check in __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_sysctl(). The reproducer confines
failslab injections to the proc_sys_call_handler() range, uses
stacktrace-depth=32, and injects fail-nth=1 while writing 8191 bytes to
/proc/sys/kernel/domainname from a task in the target cgroup. Under
that setup, fail-nth=1 triggered the fault:

| When NGINX Ingress Controller is configured with Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) or Ingress annotations, an injection vulnerability exists in the configuration generator of NGINX Ingress Controller. Multiple user-controllable fields are written into the generated NGINX configuration without sanitization. An authenticated attacker with permission to create or modify these CRDs or annotations may craft values that inject arbitrary NGINX configuration directives.
Impact:
An authenticated attacker granted write access to NGINX Ingress Controller CRDs or Ingress annotations through the Kubernetes API may be able to inject arbitrary NGINX configuration directives, create or delete files, or disable services. There is no data plane exposure; this is a control plane issue only.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| FastTube 1.0.1.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows local attackers to crash the application by submitting an excessively long string to the search functionality. Attackers can paste a buffer of 1900 characters into the search bar and trigger a crash when the search operation is executed. |
| When the application opens a PDF file and JavaScript writes annotation attributes, there is a lack of sufficient object type and argument checks. As a result, due to the damage to the internal structure of the annotations, it causes the application to crash during subsequent release. |

net: dsa: remove redundant netdev_lock_ops() from conduit ethtool ops
DSA replaces the conduit (master) device's ethtool_ops with its own
wrappers that aggregate stats from both the conduit and DSA switch
ports. Taking the lock again inside the DSA wrappers causes a deadlock.
Stumbled upon this when booting qemu with fbnic and CONFIG_NET_DSA_LOOP=y
(which looks like some kind of testing device that auto-populates the ports
of eth0). `ethtool -i` is enough to deadlock. This means we have basically zero
coverage for DSA stuff with real ops locked devs.
Remove the redundant netdev_lock_ops()/netdev_unlock_ops() calls from
the DSA conduit ethtool wrappers. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mvpp2: refill RX buffers before XDP or skb use
The RX error path returns the current descriptor buffer to the hardware
BM pool. That is only valid while the driver still owns the buffer.
mvpp2_rx_refill() can fail after the current buffer has been handed to
XDP or attached to an skb. In those cases mvpp2_run_xdp() may have
recycled, redirected, or queued the page for XDP_TX, and an skb free also
retires the data buffer. Returning such a buffer to BM lets hardware DMA
into memory that is no longer owned by the RX ring.
Refill the BM pool before handing the current buffer to XDP or to the
skb. If the allocation fails there, drop the packet and return the
still-owned current buffer to BM, preserving the pool depth. Once the
refill succeeds, later local drops retire/free the current buffer instead
of returning it to BM. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: fix double-free in tipc_buf_append()
tipc_msg_validate() can potentially reallocate the skb it is validating,
freeing the old one. In tipc_buf_append(), it was being called with a
pointer to a local variable which was a copy of the caller's skb
pointer.
If the skb was reallocated and validation subsequently failed, the error
handling path would free the original skb pointer, which had already
been freed, leading to double-free.
Fix this by checking if head now points to a newly allocated reassembled
skb. If it does, reassign *headbuf for later freeing operations. |
