all 8.3 patch levels including 8.3p5, and all prior versions allows some
IdentityIQ web services that provide non-HTML content to be accessed via a URL
path that will set the Content-Type to HTML allowing a requesting browser to
interpret content not properly escaped to prevent Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). |
| The SolarWinds Platform was susceptible to a XSS vulnerability that affects the search and node information section of the user interface. This vulnerability requires authentication and requires user interaction. |
| A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco ISE could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct an XSS attack against a user of the interface.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by the web-based management interface of an affected system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious code into specific pages of the interface. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive, browser-based information. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have Admin privileges on an affected device. |
To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have at least a low-privileged account on an affected device. |
| Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability.
Starting with the 8.1 branch, Grafana had a stored XSS vulnerability affecting the core plugin GeoMap.
The stored XSS vulnerability was possible due to map attributions weren't properly sanitized and allowed arbitrary JavaScript to be executed in the context of the currently authorized user of the Grafana instance.
An attacker needs to have the Editor role in order to change a panel to include a map attribution containing JavaScript.
This means that vertical privilege escalation is possible, where a user with Editor role can change to a known password for a user having Admin role if the user with Admin role executes malicious JavaScript viewing a dashboard.
Users may upgrade to version 8.5.21, 9.2.13 and 9.3.8 to receive a fix. |
| Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. Prior to versions 8.5.16 and 9.2.8, malicious user can create a snapshot and arbitrarily choose the `originalUrl` parameter by editing the query, thanks to a web proxy. When another user opens the URL of the snapshot, they will be presented with the regular web interface delivered by the trusted Grafana server. The `Open original dashboard` button no longer points to the to the real original dashboard but to the attacker’s injected URL. This issue is fixed in versions 8.5.16 and 9.2.8. |
| Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. Starting with the 8.1 branch and prior to versions 8.5.16, 9.2.10, and 9.3.4, Grafana had a stored XSS vulnerability affecting the core plugin GeoMap. The stored XSS vulnerability was possible because SVG files weren't properly sanitized and allowed arbitrary JavaScript to be executed in the context of the currently authorized user of the Grafana instance.
An attacker needs to have the Editor role in order to change a panel to include either an external URL to a SVG-file containing JavaScript, or use the `data:` scheme to load an inline SVG-file containing JavaScript. This means that vertical privilege escalation is possible, where a user with Editor role can change to a known password for a user having Admin role if the user with Admin role executes malicious JavaScript viewing a dashboard.
Users may upgrade to version 8.5.16, 9.2.10, or 9.3.4 to receive a fix. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Apache Answer.
This issue affects Apache Answer: through 2.0.2.
The importer stores imported question bodies as raw HTML without passing them through the normal Markdown-to-HTML sanitization path, so attacker-controlled HTML embedded in an imported data source is persisted and rendered to all viewers (including privileged users) as stored XSS.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.3, which fixes the issue. |
| traQ is a messenger application built for Digital Creators Club traP. Prior to 3.28.3, instances configured with TRAQ_STORAGE_TYPE=local can return user-uploaded SVG or HTML content from the /files/{fileId} retrieval endpoint for direct browser rendering. An attacker with file-upload capability can provide crafted active content and induce another user to open its file URL, causing attacker-controlled JavaScript to execute in the victim's browser. This issue is fixed in version 3.28.3. |
| Improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('cross-site scripting') in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network. |
| GeoNetwork is a catalog application to manage spatially referenced resources. From 3.0.0 until 4.2.15 and 4.4.10, requesting a nonexistent or unauthorized service URL can cause an error page to reflect attacker-controlled request content inside an AngularJS application without adequately neutralizing it for template evaluation. A remote attacker can induce a victim, including an administrator, to open a crafted link so the reflected value is evaluated as an AngularJS template expression. Combined with known AngularJS sandbox-escape techniques, this can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's authenticated browser session, disclose information, or perform actions as the victim. This issue is fixed in versions 4.2.15 and 4.4.10. |
| Cross-site scripting in ReadingMode in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to spoof UI elements via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low) |
| A vulnerability was found in miroslavpejic85 MiroTalk P2P up to 2.0.87. This vulnerability affects the function checkPassword of the file app/src/server.js of the component Room Action Handler. The manipulation results in improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. Attacks of this nature are highly complex. It is stated that the exploitability is difficult. The exploit has been made public and could be used. Upgrading to version 2.1.38 is able to resolve this issue. The patch is identified as 55bec1d05f931d2e43633d6d0b7274f79ec719dd. Upgrading the affected component is advised. |
| Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.23 and earlier are affected by a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts into a web page that are executed in the context of the victim's browser. A successful attacker can abuse this to achieve session takeover, increasing the confidentiality and integrity impact as high. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must visit a crafted malicious page. |
| An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 15.10 before 18.0.5, 18.1 before 18.1.3, and 18.2 before 18.2.1 that could have allowed an authenticated user to perform cross-site scripting attacks when the instance is served through certain content delivery networks. |
| HumHub Community Edition 1.19.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the friendship confirmation dialog. An authenticated low-privileged member can save HTML in their first and last name. When another authenticated user clicks Friends for that profile, HumHub places the decoded display name into a modal through jQuery html(), causing attacker-controlled markup to execute in the victim's HumHub origin. |
| A malicious actor with access to the adjacent network and under certain conditions could exploit a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability found in airMAX M devices to escalate privileges on the device. |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) issue in AWS Amplify maplibre-gl-js-amplify before 4.0.3 might allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) title, (2) address, or (3) place_name property in GeoJSON feature data rendered by popupRender, or the (4) geofenceId value rendered in AmplifyGeofenceControl.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to 4.0.3 or later. |
| Vembu BDRSuite before 7.6.0 contains an unauthenticated cross-site scripting vulnerability in templates/progress/clientside/restoreprogress.sgp that allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript by manipulating request parameters such as mn, rnm, isRepliRestore, rusr, and rpwd that are reflected unsanitized into the HTML response. Attackers can craft malicious links to execute arbitrary JavaScript in a victim's browser session, enabling session hijacking or interface manipulation. |
| Vembu BDRSuite before 7.6.0 contains an unauthenticated cross-site scripting vulnerability in templates/progress/serverside/serverbackupprogress.sgp that allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript by manipulating request parameters such as ClientName, BackupName, and grpName that are interpolated unsanitized into loadXMLDoc() calls and reflected in AbortBackup() POST requests to dodeleteclientbackup.sgp. Attackers can craft malicious links or requests to execute arbitrary JavaScript in a victim's browser session, enabling session hijacking or interface manipulation. |
