CVSS v3.1 |
iNetTools for iOS 8.20 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the Whois feature that allows attackers to crash the application by manipulating input. Attackers can paste a specially crafted 98-character buffer into the Domain Name field to trigger an application crash.
AVS Audio Converter 9.1 contains a local buffer overflow vulnerability that allows local attackers to overwrite CPU registers by manipulating the 'Exit folder' input field. Attackers can craft a specially designed text file with 264 bytes of padding followed by register overwrite values to compromise the application and potentially execute arbitrary code.
SurfOffline Professional 2.2.0.103 contains a structured exception handler (SEH) overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by manipulating the project name input. Attackers can generate a malicious payload of 382 'A' characters followed by specific byte sequences to trigger a denial of service condition and overwrite SEH registers.
An SEH-based buffer overflow in the BPQ32 HTTP Server in BPQ32 6.0.24.1 allows remote attackers with access to the Web Terminal to achieve remote code execution via an HTTP POST /TermInput request.
XnConvert 1.82 contains a denial of service vulnerability in its registration code input field that allows attackers to crash the application. Attackers can generate a 9000-byte buffer of repeated characters and paste it into the registration code field to trigger an application crash.
AVS Audio Converter 9.1.2.600 contains a stack overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by manipulating the output folder text input. Attackers can craft a malicious payload that overwrites stack memory and triggers a bind shell on port 9999 when the 'Browse' button is clicked.
dataSIMS Avionics ARINC 664-1 version 4.5.3 contains a local buffer overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to overwrite memory by manipulating the milstd1553result.txt file. Attackers can craft a malicious file with carefully constructed payload and alignment sections to potentially execute arbitrary code on the Windows system.
Stack-based buffer overflow in Control FPWIN Pro version 7.7.2.0 and all previous versions may allow attackers to execute arbitrary code via a specially crafted project file.
An authenticated attacker can trigger a stack based buffer overflow in the DHIP Service (TCP port 80). This vulnerability has been resolved in firmware version 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111.
An unauthenticated attacker can trigger a stack based buffer overflow in the DP Service (TCP port 3500). This vulnerability has been resolved in firmware version 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111.
A potential buffer overflow vulnerability was reported in some Lenovo ThinkSystem and ThinkStation products that could allow a local attacker with elevated privileges to execute arbitrary code.
The HTTPD binary in multiple ZTE routers has a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in check_data_integrity function. This function is responsible for validating the checksum of data in post request. The checksum is sent encrypted in the request, the function decrypts it and stores the checksum on the stack without validating it. An unauthenticated attacker can get RCE as root by exploiting this vulnerability.
| A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported to affect Media Streaming Add-On. The remote attackers can then exploit the vulnerability to modify memory or crash processes.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version:
Media Streaming Add-on 500.1.1 and later |
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in D-Link DI-8003 16.07.26A1 due to improper handling of parameters in the /xwgl_ref.asp endpoint. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP GET request with excessively long strings in parameters name, en, user_id, shibie_name, time, act, log, and rpri.
ASDA-Soft Stack-based Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
| A buffer overrun can be triggered in X.509 certificate verification, specifically in name constraint checking. Note that this occurs after certificate chain signature verification and requires either a CA to have signed a malicious certificate or for an application to continue certificate verification despite failure to construct a path to a trusted issuer. An attacker can craft a malicious email address in a certificate to overflow an arbitrary number of bytes containing the `.' character (decimal 46) on the stack. This buffer overflow could result in a crash (causing a denial of service). In a TLS client, this can be triggered by connecting to a malicious server. In a TLS server, this can be triggered if the server requests client authentication and a malicious client connects.

A buffer overrun can be triggered in X.509 certificate verification, specifically in name constraint checking. Note that this occurs after certificate chain signature verification and requires either a CA to have signed the malicious certificate or for the application to continue certificate verification despite failure to construct a path to a trusted issuer. An attacker can craft a malicious email address to overflow four attacker-controlled bytes on the stack. This buffer overflow could result in a crash (causing a denial of service) or potentially remote code execution. Many platforms implement stack overflow protections which would mitigate against the risk of remote code execution. The risk may be further mitigated based on stack layout for any given platform/compiler. Pre-announcements of CVE-2022-3602 described this issue as CRITICAL. Further analysis based on some of the mitigating factors described above have led this to be downgraded to HIGH. Users are still encouraged to upgrade to a new version as soon as possible. In a TLS client, this can be triggered by connecting to a malicious server. In a TLS server, this can be triggered if the server requests client authentication and a malicious client connects. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.7 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1,3.0.2,3.0.3,3.0.4,3.0.5,3.0.6).
A vulnerability was detected in D-Link DIR-645 1.01/1.02/1.03. Impacted is the function hedwigcgi_main of the file /cgi-bin/hedwig.cgi. The manipulation results in stack-based buffer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.
Bluetooth ACPI Drivers provided by Dynabook Inc. contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability. An attacker may execute arbitrary code by modifying certain registry values.
Memory corruption while processing a frame request from user.
