CVE-2025-40013 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: qcom: audioreach: fix potential null pointer dereference It is possible that the topology parsing function audioreach_widget_load_module_common() could return NULL or an error pointer. Add missing NULL check so that we do not dereference it.
CVE-2025-40004 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/9p: Fix buffer overflow in USB transport layer A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the USB 9pfs transport layer where inconsistent size validation between packet header parsing and actual data copying allows a malicious USB host to overflow heap buffers. The issue occurs because: - usb9pfs_rx_header() validates only the declared size in packet header - usb9pfs_rx_complete() uses req->actual (actual received bytes) for memcpy This allows an attacker to craft packets with small declared size (bypassing validation) but large actual payload (triggering overflow in memcpy). Add validation in usb9pfs_rx_complete() to ensure req->actual does not exceed the buffer capacity before copying data.
CVE-2025-40231 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: fix lock inversion in vsock_assign_transport() Syzbot reported a potential lock inversion deadlock between vsock_register_mutex and sk_lock-AF_VSOCK when vsock_linger() is called. The issue was introduced by commit 687aa0c5581b ("vsock: Fix transport_* TOCTOU") which added vsock_register_mutex locking in vsock_assign_transport() around the transport->release() call, that can call vsock_linger(). vsock_assign_transport() can be called with sk_lock held. vsock_linger() calls sk_wait_event() that temporarily releases and re-acquires sk_lock. During this window, if another thread hold vsock_register_mutex while trying to acquire sk_lock, a circular dependency is created. Fix this by releasing vsock_register_mutex before calling transport->release() and vsock_deassign_transport(). This is safe because we don't need to hold vsock_register_mutex while releasing the old transport, and we ensure the new transport won't disappear by obtaining a module reference first via try_module_get().
CVE-2025-68311 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: serial: ip22zilog: Use platform device for probing After commit 84a9582fd203 ("serial: core: Start managing serial controllers to enable runtime PM") serial drivers need to provide a device in struct uart_port.dev otherwise an oops happens. To fix this issue for ip22zilog driver switch driver to a platform driver and setup the serial device in sgi-ip22 code.
CVE-2025-68233 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/tegra: Add call to put_pid() Add a call to put_pid() corresponding to get_task_pid(). host1x_memory_context_alloc() does not take ownership of the PID so we need to free it here to avoid leaking. [mperttunen@nvidia.com: reword commit message]
CVE-2025-24484 2 Intel, Linux 2 Ethernet 800 Series Software, Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.8 High
Improper input validation in the Linux kernel-mode driver for some Intel(R) 800 Series Ethernet before version 1.17.2 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
CVE-2025-68235 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nouveau/firmware: Add missing kfree() of nvkm_falcon_fw::boot nvkm_falcon_fw::boot is allocated, but no one frees it. This causes a kmemleak warning. Make sure this data is deallocated.
CVE-2025-40125 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: check kobject state_in_sysfs before deleting in blk_mq_unregister_hctx In __blk_mq_update_nr_hw_queues() the return value of blk_mq_sysfs_register_hctxs() is not checked. If sysfs creation for hctx fails, later changing the number of hw_queues or removing disk will trigger the following warning: kernfs: can not remove 'nr_tags', no directory WARNING: CPU: 2 PID: 637 at fs/kernfs/dir.c:1707 kernfs_remove_by_name_ns+0x13f/0x160 Call Trace: remove_files.isra.1+0x38/0xb0 sysfs_remove_group+0x4d/0x100 sysfs_remove_groups+0x31/0x60 __kobject_del+0x23/0xf0 kobject_del+0x17/0x40 blk_mq_unregister_hctx+0x5d/0x80 blk_mq_sysfs_unregister_hctxs+0x94/0xd0 blk_mq_update_nr_hw_queues+0x124/0x760 nullb_update_nr_hw_queues+0x71/0xf0 [null_blk] nullb_device_submit_queues_store+0x92/0x120 [null_blk] kobjct_del() was called unconditionally even if sysfs creation failed. Fix it by checkig the kobject creation statusbefore deleting it.
CVE-2025-40078 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Explicitly check accesses to bpf_sock_addr Syzkaller found a kernel warning on the following sock_addr program: 0: r0 = 0 1: r2 = *(u32 *)(r1 +60) 2: exit which triggers: verifier bug: error during ctx access conversion (0) This is happening because offset 60 in bpf_sock_addr corresponds to an implicit padding of 4 bytes, right after msg_src_ip4. Access to this padding isn't rejected in sock_addr_is_valid_access and it thus later fails to convert the access. This patch fixes it by explicitly checking the various fields of bpf_sock_addr in sock_addr_is_valid_access. I checked the other ctx structures and is_valid_access functions and didn't find any other similar cases. Other cases of (properly handled) padding are covered in new tests in a subsequent patch.
CVE-2025-68237 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtdchar: fix integer overflow in read/write ioctls The "req.start" and "req.len" variables are u64 values that come from the user at the start of the function. We mask away the high 32 bits of "req.len" so that's capped at U32_MAX but the "req.start" variable can go up to U64_MAX which means that the addition can still integer overflow. Use check_add_overflow() to fix this bug.
CVE-2025-68300 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/namespace: fix reference leak in grab_requested_mnt_ns lookup_mnt_ns() already takes a reference on mnt_ns. grab_requested_mnt_ns() doesn't need to take an extra reference.
CVE-2025-40197 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: mc: Clear minor number before put device The device minor should not be cleared after the device is released.
CVE-2025-68266 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bfs: Reconstruct file type when loading from disk syzbot is reporting that S_IFMT bits of inode->i_mode can become bogus when the S_IFMT bits of the 32bits "mode" field loaded from disk are corrupted or when the 32bits "attributes" field loaded from disk are corrupted. A documentation says that BFS uses only lower 9 bits of the "mode" field. But I can't find an explicit explanation that the unused upper 23 bits (especially, the S_IFMT bits) are initialized with 0. Therefore, ignore the S_IFMT bits of the "mode" field loaded from disk. Also, verify that the value of the "attributes" field loaded from disk is either BFS_VREG or BFS_VDIR (because BFS supports only regular files and the root directory).
CVE-2025-68293 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/huge_memory: fix NULL pointer deference when splitting folio Commit c010d47f107f ("mm: thp: split huge page to any lower order pages") introduced an early check on the folio's order via mapping->flags before proceeding with the split work. This check introduced a bug: for shmem folios in the swap cache and truncated folios, the mapping pointer can be NULL. Accessing mapping->flags in this state leads directly to a NULL pointer dereference. This commit fixes the issue by moving the check for mapping != NULL before any attempt to access mapping->flags.
CVE-2025-68743 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mshv: Fix create memory region overlap check The current check is incorrect; it only checks if the beginning or end of a region is within an existing region. This doesn't account for userspace specifying a region that begins before and ends after an existing region. Change the logic to a range intersection check against gfns and uaddrs for each region. Remove mshv_partition_region_by_uaddr() as it is no longer used.
CVE-2023-53712 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: 9317/1: kexec: Make smp stop calls asynchronous If a panic is triggered by a hrtimer interrupt all online cpus will be notified and set offline. CVE-2023-53715 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: cfg80211: Pass the PMK in binary instead of hex Apparently the hex passphrase mechanism does not work on newer chips/firmware (e.g. BCM4387). It seems there was a simple way of passing it in binary all along, so use that and avoid the hexification. OpenBSD has been doing it like this from the beginning, so this should work on all chips. Also clear the structure before setting the PMK. This was leaking uninitialized stack contents to the device.
CVE-2023-53728 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: posix-timers: Ensure timer ID search-loop limit is valid posix_timer_add() tries to allocate a posix timer ID by starting from the cached ID which was stored by the last successful allocation. This is done in a loop searching the ID space for a free slot one by one. The loop has to terminate when the search wrapped around to the starting point. But that's racy vs. establishing the starting point. That is read out lockless, which leads to the following problem: CPU0 CPU1 posix_timer_add() start = sig->posix_timer_id; lock(hash_lock); ... posix_timer_add() if (++sig->posix_timer_id < 0) start = sig->posix_timer_id; sig->posix_timer_id = 0; So CPU1 can observe a negative start value, i.e. -1, and the loop break never happens because the condition can never be true: if (sig->posix_timer_id == start) break; While this is unlikely to ever turn into an endless loop as the ID space is huge (INT_MAX), the racy read of the start value caught the attention of KCSAN and Dmitry unearthed that incorrectness. Rewrite it so that all id operations are under the hash lock.
CVE-2025-40346 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arch_topology: Fix incorrect error check in topology_parse_cpu_capacity() Fix incorrect use of PTR_ERR_OR_ZERO() in topology_parse_cpu_capacity() which causes the code to proceed with NULL clock pointers. The current logic uses !PTR_ERR_OR_ZERO(cpu_clk) which evaluates to true for both valid pointers and NULL, leading to potential NULL pointer dereference in clk_get_rate(). Per include/linux/err.h documentation, PTR_ERR_OR_ZERO(ptr) returns: "The error code within @ptr if it is an error pointer; 0 otherwise." This means PTR_ERR_OR_ZERO() returns 0 for both valid pointers AND NULL pointers. Therefore !PTR_ERR_OR_ZERO(cpu_clk) evaluates to true (proceed) when cpu_clk is either valid or NULL, causing clk_get_rate(NULL) to be called when of_clk_get() returns NULL. Replace with !IS_ERR_OR_NULL(cpu_clk) which only proceeds for valid pointers, preventing potential NULL pointer dereference in clk_get_rate().
CVE-2025-68281 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SDCA: bug fix while parsing mipi-sdca-control-cn-list "struct sdca_control" declares "values" field as integer array. But the memory allocated to it is of char array. This causes crash for sdca_parse_function API. This patch addresses the issue by allocating correct data size.
