| Use after free in Ozone in Google Chrome prior to 150.0.7871.125 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 78ea09e, contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability in the control socket handling within src/control.c that allows local unprivileged attackers to trigger memory corruption when privilege separation is disabled. Attackers can connect to the control socket and send a privileged command such as -x, causing control_recvdata() to free the client object while the same READ+HANGUP event subsequently reaches control_hangup() with the stale pointer, resulting in a use-after-free condition exploitable in deployments using --disable-privsep or where privsep initialization has failed with the control socket operating in mode 0666. |
| dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 5733d3c, contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability that allows unauthenticated same-link attackers to crash the daemon by sending a crafted DHCPv6 RENEW reply with RFC6603 OPTION_PD_EXCLUDE and both preferred and valid lifetimes set to zero. Attackers acting as or impersonating a DHCPv6 server can trigger dhcp6_deprecatedele() to free a delegated child address while an outer TAILQ_FOREACH_SAFE iterator in dhcp6_deprecateaddrs() still holds the freed pointer, causing a use-after-free when TAILQ_REMOVE is reached. |
| libssh2 through 1.11.1, fixed in commit 5e47761, contains a double-free vulnerability in the sftp_open() function in src/sftp.c that allows a malicious SSH server to corrupt the heap of any authenticated client opening an SFTP session. When a server responds to SSH_FXP_OPEN with SSH_FXP_STATUS containing FX_OK, the response data buffer is freed, and if a subsequent sftp_packet_require() call returns a specific error such as LIBSSH2_ERROR_CHANNEL_PACKET_EXCEEDED, the same pointer is freed a second time, enabling tcache dup conditions on glibc systems that allow overlapping allocations and function pointer overwrites. |
| FFmpeg versions 4.4 through 8.1.2 contain a double-free vulnerability in the NVIDIA NVDEC hardware decoder within libavcodec/nvdec.c that allows attackers to trigger memory corruption by supplying a crafted video file. When no decoder surfaces remain, the ff_nvdec_start_frame_sep_ref error path frees memory via nvdec_fdd_priv_free while the calling layer subsequently frees the same frame description data, resulting in a double-free of the underlying decoder context in any FFmpeg-based application using NVDEC hardware-accelerated decoding. |
| In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.25.0 up to and including 1.25.1, a fix that makes the 'respip' and 'dns64' modules work together, creates a shallow copy of the view name in effect that could lead to memory corruption if the owner of the original view name is jostled out when Unbound is under pressure. Unbound needs to be configured with one of 'respip'/'rpz' modules, together with a module that can attach subqueries (respip CNAME redirection, dns64, subnetcache) and a configured 'access-control-view' while Unbound is under pressure so that joslte logic kicks in and starts dropping slow queries. The subquery is getting a shallow copy of the view name and if the super query which owns the view name is jostled out, memory corruption can occur. Likelihood of a crash is low, since it relies heavily on the underlying memory allocator and the memory layout. Debug memory builds (e.g., ASAN) that catch the free terminate the server. |
| A use-after-free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in Safari 26.5.2, iOS 26.5.2 and iPadOS 26.5.2, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to memory corruption. |
| Sandbox escape due to invalid pointer in the Disability Access APIs component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 153 and Thunderbird 153. |
| Vulnerability in the MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: DDL). Supported versions that are affected are MySQL Server: 8.4.0-8.4.10, 9.7.0-9.7.1; MySQL Cluster: 8.0.0-8.0.47, 8.4.0-8.4.10 and 9.7.0-9.7.1. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server, MySQL Cluster. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.4 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). |
| Use after free in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 150.0.7871.186 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fuse: clear intr_entry in fuse_resend and fuse_remove_pending_req
When fuse_resend() moves a request from fpq->processing back to
fiq->pending, it sets FR_PENDING and clears FR_SENT but does not
remove the requests intr_entry from fiq->interrupts. If the
request had FR_INTERRUPTED set from a prior signal, intr_entry
remains dangling on fiq->interrupts. When the requesting task
then receives a fatal signal, fuse_remove_pending_req() sees
FR_PENDING=1, removes the request from fiq->pending and frees it
via the refcount path, also without cleaning intr_entry. The
stale intr_entry causes use-after-free when fuse_read_interrupt()
iterates fiq->interrupts:
- list_del_init(&req->intr_entry) -> UAF write on freed slab
- req->in.h.unique -> UAF read, data leaked to userspace
Remove intr_entry from fiq->interrupts in fuse_resend() for
interrupted requests before they are placed back on fiq->pending.
Add a WARN_ON if the intr_entry is not empty on request destruction. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
hdlc_ppp: sync per-proto timers before freeing hdlc state
Each PPP control protocol (LCP/IPCP/IPV6CP) embedded in struct ppp
registers a timer via timer_setup(). That struct ppp is the
hdlc->state allocation, which detach_hdlc_protocol() frees with kfree()
in both teardown paths: unregister_hdlc_device() and the re-attach inside
attach_hdlc_protocol().
The ppp proto never registered a .detach callback, so
detach_hdlc_protocol() performs no timer synchronization before the
kfree(). The only cancel, timer_delete(&proto->timer) in ppp_cp_event(),
is partial (it does not wait for a running callback) and only runs on the
->CLOSED transition; ppp_stop()/ppp_close() do not sync either. A
ppp_timer callback already executing (blocked on ppp->lock) survives the
kfree and then dereferences proto->state / ppp->lock in freed memory,
leading to a use-after-free.
Fix this by adding a .detach helper that calls timer_shutdown_sync() on
every per-proto timer. detach_hdlc_protocol() invokes proto->detach(dev)
before kfree(hdlc->state), so timer_shutdown_sync()
now runs on both free paths.
timer_shutdown_sync() is used instead of timer_delete_sync() because the
keepalive path re-arms the timer through add_timer()/mod_timer() and
shutdown blocks any re-activation during teardown.
Initialize the per-protocol timers in ppp_ioctl() when the protocol is
attached, and remove the now-redundant timer_setup() from ppp_start(), so
that the timers are initialized exactly once at attach time and
ppp_timer_release() never operates on uninitialized timer_list
structures. attach_hdlc_protocol() uses kmalloc() (not kzalloc), so
struct ppp's protos[i].timer is uninitialized garbage until the first
timer_setup(); without this init-at-attach, attaching the PPP protocol
without ever bringing the device up would leave timer_shutdown_sync()
operating on uninitialized memory in .detach. Moving the init out of
ppp_start() (which only runs on NETDEV_UP) into the attach path makes the
initialization unconditional and avoids initializing the same timer_list
twice.
This bug was found by static analysis. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rpmsg: char: Fix use-after-free on probe error path
rpmsg_chrdev_probe() stores the newly allocated eptdev in the default
endpoint's priv pointer before calling rpmsg_chrdev_eptdev_add(). If
rpmsg_chrdev_eptdev_add() then fails, its error path frees eptdev while
the default endpoint may still dispatch callbacks with the stale priv
pointer.
Avoid publishing eptdev through the default endpoint until
rpmsg_chrdev_eptdev_add() succeeds. Messages received before the priv
pointer is published should be ignored by rpmsg_ept_cb(). Flow-control
updates can hit rpmsg_ept_flow_cb() in the same window, so make both
callbacks return success when priv is NULL. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: Add preempt_{disable,enable}_nested() in reqsk_queue_hash_req().
syzbot reported a weird reqsk->rsk_refcnt underflow in
__inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop().
The captured reqsk_put() in __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop()
is called only when it successfully removes reqsk from ehash.
Moreover, reqsk_timer_handler() calls another reqsk_put()
after that.
This indicates that the reqsk was missing both refcnts for
ehash and the timer itself.
Since all the syzbot reports had PREEMPT_RT enabled, the only
possible scenario is that reqsk_queue_hash_req() is preempted
after mod_timer() and before refcount_set(), and then the timer
triggered after 1s aborts the reqsk due to its listener's close().
Let's wrap mod_timer() and refcount_set() with
preempt_disable_nested() and preempt_enable_nested().
Note that inet_ehash_insert() holds the normal spin_lock()
(mutex in PREEMPT_RT), so it must be called outside of
preempt_disable_nested(), but this is fine.
The lookup path just ignores 0 sk_refcnt entries in ehash
and tries to create another reqsk, but this will fail at
inet_ehash_insert().
