| CVE-2026-84854 | 1 Wibu-systems-ag | 1 Wibukey | 2026-10-15 | 7 High |
| In the WibuKey driver for Windows below Version 6.72, insufficient validation of user input when calculating the size of a kernel buffer could cause small amounts of data to be written outside the intended kernel buffer. This can lead to a system crash. Under unfavorable circumstances, adjacent kernel memory may be modified. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53148 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Clamp XDomain response data copy to allocation size tb_xdp_properties_request() derives the per-packet copy length from the response header without checking that it fits in the previously allocated data buffer. A malicious peer can set its length field larger than the declared data_length, causing memcpy to write past the kcalloc allocation. Clamp the per-packet copy length so that the cumulative offset never exceeds data_len. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46331 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: fix pedit partial COW leading to page cache corruption tcf_pedit_act() computes the COW range for skb_ensure_writable() once before the key loop using tcfp_off_max_hint, but the hint does not account for the runtime header offset added by typed keys. This can leave part of the write region un-COW'd. Fix by moving skb_ensure_writable() inside the per-key loop where the actual write offset is known, and add overflow checking on the offset arithmetic. For negative offsets (e.g. Ethernet header edits at ingress), use skb_cow() to COW the headroom instead. Guard offset_valid() against INT_MIN, where negation is undefined. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46307 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 8.3 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath5k: do not access array OOB Vincent reports: > The ath5k driver seems to do an array-index-out-of-bounds access as > shown by the UBSAN kernel message: > UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath5k/base.c:1741:20 > index 4 is out of range for type 'ieee80211_tx_rate [4]' > ... > Call Trace: > <TASK> > dump_stack_lvl+0x5d/0x80 > ubsan_epilogue+0x5/0x2b > __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold+0x46/0x4b > ath5k_tasklet_tx+0x4e0/0x560 [ath5k] > tasklet_action_common+0xb5/0x1c0 It is real. 'ts->ts_final_idx' can be 3 on 5212, so: info->status.rates[ts->ts_final_idx + 1].idx = -1; with the array defined as: struct ieee80211_tx_rate rates[IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES]; while the size is: #define IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES 4 is indeed bogus. Set this 'idx = -1' sentinel only if the array index is less than the array size. As mac80211 will not look at rates beyond the size (IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES). Note: The effect of the OOB write is negligible. It just overwrites the next member of info->status, i.e. ack_signal. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46294 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: fix a buffer overflow in ioctl processing Tony Asleson (using Claude) found a buffer overflow in dm-ioctl in the function retrieve_status: 1. The code in retrieve_status checks that the output string fits into the output buffer and writes the output string there 2. Then, the code aligns the "outptr" variable to the next 8-byte boundary: outptr = align_ptr(outptr); 3. The alignment doesn't check overflow, so outptr could point past the buffer end 4. The "for" loop is iterated again, it executes: remaining = len - (outptr - outbuf); 5. If "outptr" points past "outbuf + len", the arithmetics wraps around and the variable "remaining" contains unusually high number 6. With "remaining" being high, the code writes more data past the end of the buffer Luckily, this bug has no security implications because: 1. Only root can issue device mapper ioctls 2. The commonly used libraries that communicate with device mapper (libdevmapper and devicemapper-rs) use buffer size that is aligned to 8 bytes - thus, "outptr = align_ptr(outptr)" can't overshoot the input buffer and the bug can't happen accidentally | ||||
| CVE-2026-46234 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: fix buffer size clamping order In vsock_update_buffer_size(), the buffer size was being clamped to the maximum first, and then to the minimum. If a user sets a minimum buffer size larger than the maximum, the minimum check overrides the maximum check, inverting the constraint. This breaks the intended socket memory boundaries by allowing the vsk->buffer_size to grow beyond the configured vsk->buffer_max_size. Fix this by checking the minimum first, and then the maximum. This ensures the buffer size never exceeds the buffer_max_size. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46209 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gem: Fix inconsistent plane dimension calculation in drm_gem_fb_init_with_funcs() drm_gem_fb_init_with_funcs() computes sub-sampled plane dimensions using plain integer division: unsigned int width = mode_cmd->width / (i ? info->hsub : 1); unsigned int height = mode_cmd->height / (i ? info->vsub : 1); However, the ioctl-level framebuffer_check() in drm_framebuffer.c uses drm_format_info_plane_width/height() which round up dimensions via DIV_ROUND_UP(). This inconsistency corrupts the subsequent GEM object size check for certain pixel format and dimension combinations. For example, with NV12 (vsub=2) and a 1-pixel-tall framebuffer the GEM size validation path sees height=0 instead of height=1. The expression (height - 1) then wraps to UINT_MAX as an unsigned int, causing min_size to overflow and wrap back to a small value. A tiny GEM object therefore passes the size guard, yet when the GPU accesses the chroma plane it will read or write memory beyond the object's bounds. Fix by replacing the open-coded divisions with drm_format_info_plane_width() and drm_format_info_plane_height(), which use DIV_ROUND_UP() and match the calculation already used in framebuffer_check(). | ||||
| CVE-2026-46191 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbcon: Avoid OOB font access if console rotation fails Clear the font buffer if the reallocation during console rotation fails in fbcon_rotate_font(). The putcs implementations for the rotated buffer will return early in this case. See [1] for an example. Currently, fbcon_rotate_font() keeps the old buffer, which is too small for the rotated font. Printing to the rotated console with a high-enough character code will overflow the font buffer. v2: - fix typos in commit message | ||||
| CVE-2026-46190 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spi-nor: debugfs: fix out-of-bounds read in spi_nor_params_show() Sashiko noticed an out-of-bounds read [1]. In spi_nor_params_show(), the snor_f_names array is passed to spi_nor_print_flags() using sizeof(snor_f_names). Since snor_f_names is an array of pointers, sizeof() returns the total number of bytes occupied by the pointers (element_count * sizeof(void *)) rather than the element count itself. On 64-bit systems, this makes the passed length 8x larger than intended. Inside spi_nor_print_flags(), the 'names_len' argument is used to bounds-check the 'names' array access. An out-of-bounds read occurs if a flag bit is set that exceeds the array's actual element count but is within the inflated byte-size count. Correct this by using ARRAY_SIZE() to pass the actual number of string pointers in the array. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7921: fix a potential clc buffer length underflow The buf_len is used to limit the iterations for retrieving the country power setting and may underflow under certain conditions due to changes in the power table in CLC. This underflow leads to an almost infinite loop or an invalid power setting resulting in driver initialization failure. | ||||

| CVE-2026-31712 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 8.3 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: require minimum ACE size in smb_check_perm_dacl() Both ACE-walk loops in smb_check_perm_dacl() only guard against an under-sized remaining buffer, not against an ACE whose declared `ace->size` is smaller than the struct it claims to describe: if (offsetof(struct smb_ace, access_req) > aces_size) break; ace_size = le16_to_cpu(ace->size); if (ace_size > aces_size) break; The first check only requires the 4-byte ACE header to be in bounds; it does not require access_req (4 bytes at offset 4) to be readable. An attacker who has set a crafted DACL on a file they own can declare ace->size == 4 with aces_size == 4, pass both checks, and then granted |= le32_to_cpu(ace->access_req); /* upper loop */ compare_sids(&sid, &ace->sid); /* lower loop */ reads access_req at offset 4 (OOB by up to 4 bytes) and ace->sid at offset 8 (OOB by up to CIFS_SID_BASE_SIZE + SID_MAX_SUB_AUTHORITIES * 4 bytes). Tighten both loops to require ace_size >= offsetof(struct smb_ace, sid) + CIFS_SID_BASE_SIZE which is the smallest valid on-wire ACE layout (4-byte header + 4-byte access_req + 8-byte sid base with zero sub-auths). Also reject ACEs whose sid.num_subauth exceeds SID_MAX_SUB_AUTHORITIES before letting compare_sids() dereference sub_auth[] entries. parse_sec_desc() already enforces an equivalent check (lines 441-448); smb_check_perm_dacl() simply grew weaker validation over time. Reachability: authenticated SMB client with permission to set an ACL on a file. On a subsequent CREATE against that file, the kernel walks the stored DACL via smb_check_perm_dacl() and triggers the OOB read. Not pre-auth, and the OOB read is not reflected to the attacker, but KASAN reports and kernel state corruption are possible. | ||||
| CVE-2026-31705 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix out-of-bounds write in smb2_get_ea() EA alignment smb2_get_ea() applies 4-byte alignment padding via memset() after writing each EA entry. The bounds check on buf_free_len is performed before the value memcpy, but the alignment memset fires unconditionally afterward with no check on remaining space. When the EA value exactly fills the remaining buffer (buf_free_len == 0 after value subtraction), the alignment memset writes 1-3 NUL bytes past the buf_free_len boundary. In compound requests where the response buffer is shared across commands, the first command (e.g., READ) can consume most of the buffer, leaving a tight remainder for the QUERY_INFO EA response. The alignment memset then overwrites past the physical kvmalloc allocation into adjacent kernel heap memory. Add a bounds check before the alignment memset to ensure buf_free_len can accommodate the padding bytes. This is the same bug pattern fixed by commit beef2634f81f ("ksmbd: fix potencial OOB in get_file_all_info() for compound requests") and commit fda9522ed6af ("ksmbd: fix OOB write in QUERY_INFO for compound requests"), both of which added bounds checks before unconditional writes in QUERY_INFO response handlers. | ||||
| CVE-2026-31696 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix missing validation of ticket length in non-XDR key preparsing In rxrpc_preparse(), there are two paths for parsing key payloads: the XDR path (for large payloads) and the non-XDR path (for payloads <= 28 bytes). While the XDR path (rxrpc_preparse_xdr_rxkad()) correctly validates the ticket length against AFSTOKEN_RK_TIX_MAX, the non-XDR path fails to do so. This allows an unprivileged user to provide a very large ticket length. When this key is later read via rxrpc_read(), the total token size (toksize) calculation results in a value that exceeds AFSTOKEN_LENGTH_MAX, triggering a WARN_ON(). [ 2001.302904] WARNING: CPU: 2 PID: 2108 at net/rxrpc/key.c:778 rxrpc_read+0x109/0x5c0 [rxrpc] Fix this by adding a check in the non-XDR parsing path of rxrpc_preparse() to ensure the ticket length does not exceed AFSTOKEN_RK_TIX_MAX, bringing it into parity with the XDR parsing logic. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: macb: use the current queue number for stats There's a potential mismatch between the memory reserved for statistics and the amount of memory written. gem_get_sset_count() correctly computes the number of stats based on the active queues, whereas gem_get_ethtool_stats() indiscriminately copies data using the maximum number of queues, and in the case the number of active queues is less than MACB_MAX_QUEUES, this results in a OOB write as observed in the KASAN splat. ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds in gem_get_ethtool_stats+0x54/0x78 [macb] Write of size 760 at addr ffff80008080b000 by task ethtool/1027 CPU: [...] Tainted: [E]=UNSIGNED_MODULE Hardware name: raspberrypi rpi/rpi, BIOS 2025.10 10/01/2025 Call trace: show_stack+0x20/0x38 (C) dump_stack_lvl+0x80/0xf8 print_report+0x384/0x5e0 kasan_report+0xa0/0xf0 kasan_check_range+0xe8/0x190 __asan_memcpy+0x54/0x98 gem_get_ethtool_stats+0x54/0x78 [macb 926c13f3af83b0c6fe64badb21ec87d5e93fcf65] dev_ethtool+0x1220/0x38c0 dev_ioctl+0x4ac/0xca8 sock_do_ioctl+0x170/0x1d8 sock_ioctl+0x484/0x5d8 __arm64_sys_ioctl+0x12c/0x1b8 invoke_syscall+0xd4/0x258 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0xb4/0x240 do_el0_svc+0x48/0x68 el0_svc+0x40/0xf8 el0t_64_sync_handler+0xa0/0xe8 el0t_64_sync+0x1b0/0x1b8 The buggy address belongs to a 1-page vmalloc region starting at 0xffff80008080b000 allocated at dev_ethtool+0x11f0/0x38c0 The buggy address belongs to the physical page: page: refcount:1 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0xffff00000a333000 pfn:0xa333 flags: 0x7fffc000000000(node=0|zone=0|lastcpupid=0x1ffff) raw: 007fffc000000000 0000000000000000 dead000000000122 0000000000000000 raw: ffff00000a333000 0000000000000000 00000001ffffffff 0000000000000000 page dumped because: kasan: bad access detected Memory state around the buggy address: ffff80008080b080: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ffff80008080b100: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 >ffff80008080b180: 00 00 00 00 00 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 ^ ffff80008080b200: f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 ffff80008080b280: f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 ================================================================== Fix it by making sure the copied size only considers the active number of queues. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dpaa2-switch: Fix interrupt storm after receiving bad if_id in IRQ handler Commit 31a7a0bbeb00 ("dpaa2-switch: add bounds check for if_id in IRQ handler") introduces a range check for if_id to avoid an out-of-bounds access. If an out-of-bounds if_id is detected, the interrupt status is not cleared. This may result in an interrupt storm. Clear the interrupt status after detecting an out-of-bounds if_id to avoid the problem. Found by an experimental AI code review agent at Google. | ||||
