| Information Disclosure in API in Replicated Replicated Classic versions prior to 2.53.1 on all platforms allows authenticated users with Admin Console access to retrieve sensitive data, including application secrets, via accessing container definitions with environment variables through the Admin Console API on port 8800.
This CVE was originally reserved in 2021 and later publicly disclosed by Replicated on their website on 21 October 2021. However, it mistakenly remained in the Reserved But Public (RBP) status with the CVE Numbering Authority (CNA). Please note that this product reached its end of life on 31 December 2024. Publishing this CVE with the CNA was required to comply with CNA rules, despite the fact that the issue was disclosed and fixed four years ago, and the affected product is no longer supported as of 2024.
Summary of VulnerabilityThis advisory discloses a low severity security vulnerability in the versions of Replicated Classic listed above (“Affected Replicated Classic Versions”)
DescriptionReplicated Classic versions prior to 2.53.1 have an authenticated API from the Replicated Admin Console that may expose sensitive data including application secrets, depending on how the application manifests are written. A user with valid credentials and access to the Admin Console port (8800) on the Replicated Classic server can retrieve container definitions including environment variables which may contain passwords and other secrets depending on how the application is configured.
This data is shared over authenticated sessions to the Admin Console only, and was never displayed or used in the application processing. To remediate this issue, we removed the sensitive data from the API, sending only the data to the Admin Console that was needed.
TimelineThis issue was discovered during a security review on 16 September 2021.
Patched versions were released on 23 September 2021.
This advisory was published on 21 October 2021.
The CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) notified Replicated on 23 January 2025 that the CVE was still in Reserved But Public (RBP) status. Upon discovering the oversight in updating the status to published with the CNA, Replicated submitted the updated report on the same day, 23 January 2025. |
| Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi DB_566128M5MP_W allows root shell access through an unsecured UART/serial console. An attacker with physical access can connect to the exposed interface and execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because of "certain restrictions on users privately connecting serial port cables" and because "the root user has a password and it meets the requirements of password security complexity." |
| Improper conditions check in some Intel(R) BIOS PPAM firmware may allow a privileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| Improper restriction of communication channel to intended endpoints issue exists in UpdateNavi V1.4 L10 to L33 and UpdateNaviInstallService Service 1.2.0091 to 1.2.0125. If a local authenticated attacker send malicious data, an arbitrary registry value may be modified or arbitrary code may be executed. |
|
An implicit intent vulnerability was reported in the Motorola Ready For application that could allow a local attacker to read information about connected Bluetooth audio devices.
|
|
A an improper export vulnerability was reported in the Motorola Setup application that could allow a local attacker to read sensitive user information.
|
| A PendingIntent hijacking vulnerability in Motorola Device Help (Genie) application that could allow local attackers to access files or interact with non-exported software components without permission.
|
| An improper export vulnerability was reported in the Motorola OTA update application, that could allow a malicious, local application to inject an HTML-based message on screen UI. |
|
An implicit intent export vulnerability was reported in the Motorola Phone application, that could allow unauthorized access to a non-exported content provider. |
| SAP Financial Consolidation allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain unauthorized access to the Admin account. The vulnerability arises due to improper authentication mechanisms, due to which there is high impact on the Confidentiality, Integrity & Availability of the application. |
| CWE-922: Insecure Storage of Sensitive Information vulnerability exists that could potentially lead to unauthorized
access of confidential data when a malicious user, having physical access and advanced information on the file
system, sets the radio in factory default mode. |
| A security issue was discovered within the legacy ADI server component of Verve Asset Manager, caused by plaintext secrets stored in environment variables on the ADI server. This component has been retired and has been optional since the 1.36 release in 2024. |
| Improper conditions check for some Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) products for Windows before version 23.20 may allow a privileged user to potentially enable denial of service via local access. |
| Insecure Storage of Sensitive Information vulnerability in MeetMe on iOS, Android allows Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data. This issue affects MeetMe: through v2.2.5. |
| Infinix devices contain a pre-loaded "com.transsion.agingfunction" application, that exposes an unsecured broadcast receiver. An attacker can communicate with the receiver and force the device to perform a factory reset without any Android system permissions.
After multiple attempts to contact the vendor we did not receive any answer. We suppose this issue affects all Infinix Mobile devices. |
| An
authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the affected product. The
vulnerability exists due to shared secrets across accounts and could allow a threat
actor to impersonate a user if the threat actor is able to enumerate additional
information required during authentication. |
| CWE-924: Improper Enforcement of Message Integrity During Transmission in a Communication Channel vulnerability
exists that could cause partial loss of confidentiality, loss of integrity and availability of the HMI when attacker performs
man in the middle attack by intercepting the communication. |
| CWE-924: Improper Enforcement of Message Integrity During Transmission in a Communication Channel
vulnerability exists that could cause retrieval of password hash that could lead to denial of service and loss of
confidentiality and integrity of controllers. To be successful, the attacker needs to inject themself inside the
logical network while a valid user uploads or downloads a project file into the controller. |
