| CVE-2026-120538 | 2 Smub, Wordpress-extensions | 2 Easy Digital Downloads, Easy Digital Downloads | 2026-11-03 | 8.1 High |
| The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass leading to administrator account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.2. During a PayPal guest checkout, the email address entered in the guest-checkout field is trusted as proof of identity: edd_get_purchase_form_user() binds the new guest order to an existing WordPress user purely on an email-address match, rewriting the order's user_id to that user's ID. The PayPal capture sink PurchaseUser::maybe_log_in_after_capture() then looked the user up by the order email (get_user_by( 'email', $order->email )) and, when $order->user_id equalled that user's ID (which the email-binding step guarantees), issued an authenticated session with wp_set_auth_cookie(). An unauthenticated attacker who starts a guest checkout using an administrator's email address (where that administrator has no existing EDD customer record) and completes the PayPal purchase flow therefore receives an authenticated session as that administrator — a full account takeover. The same sink is reachable through the standard PayPal checkout and the REST UnbrandedCard and Fastlane flows. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14335 | 2 Smub, Wordpress-extensions | 3 Easy Digital Downloads, Easy Digital Downloads – Ecommerce Payments And Subscriptions Made Easy, Easy Digital Downloads | 2026-10-11 | 7.2 High |
| The Easy Digital Downloads – eCommerce Payments and Subscriptions made easy plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via PayPal IPN Parameters in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. | ||||
| CVE-2026-12476 | 2 Smub, Wordpress | 2 Easy Digital Downloads – Ecommerce Payments And Subscriptions Made Easy, Wordpress | 2026-07-29 | 7.2 High |
| The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in versions up to and including 3.6.9. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the edd_do_ajax_import_file_upload() function , which only checks the client-supplied $_FILES['edd-import-file']['type'] Content-Type header against an allow-list of CSV mime types, then uses raw move_uploaded_file() (bypassing wp_handle_upload()'s core MIME enforcement) to write the file under its original extension into the web-accessible wp-content/uploads/edd/exports/ directory. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Shop Manager-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible. | ||||
| CVE-2026-7533 | 2 Smub, Wordpress | 2 Easy Digital Downloads – Ecommerce Payments And Subscriptions Made Easy, Wordpress | 2026-05-29 | 4.3 Medium |
| The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.7. This is due to missing nonce verification in the `handle_oauth_redirect()` function, which is registered on the `admin_init` hook and processes Square OAuth tokens from a user-supplied GET parameter without any CSRF token validation. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to overwrite the store's Square payment gateway credentials by tricking a logged-in administrator into clicking a crafted link, potentially resulting in payment account hijacking. | ||||
| CVE-2025-11271 | 2 Smub, Wordpress | 2 Easy Digital Downloads, Wordpress | 2026-04-22 | 5.3 Medium |
| The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Order Manipulation in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.2 due to an order verification bypass. The verification is unconditionally skipped when the POST body includes verification_override=1. Because this value is attacker-supplied, an unauthenticated actor can submit a forged IPN and have it treated as verified, even on production sites and with verification otherwise enabled. A valid PayPal transaction id is needed, restricting order manipulation to orders placed by the attacker. This, in turn, requires them to have a customer account. | ||||
| CVE-2025-14783 | 2 Smub, Wordpress | 2 Easy Digital Downloads, Wordpress | 2026-04-21 | 4.3 Medium |
| The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unvalidated Redirect in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.2. This is due to insufficient validation on the redirect url supplied via the 'edd_redirect' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to redirect users with the password reset email to potentially malicious sites if they can successfully trick them into performing an action. | ||||
