| CVE-2025-37927 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2025-11-10 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/amd: Fix potential buffer overflow in parse_ivrs_acpihid There is a string parsing logic error which can lead to an overflow of hid or uid buffers. Comparing ACPIID_LEN against a total string length doesn't take into account the lengths of individual hid and uid buffers so the check is insufficient in some cases. For example if the length of hid string is 4 and the length of the uid string is 260, the length of str will be equal to ACPIID_LEN + 1 but uid string will overflow uid buffer which size is 256. The same applies to the hid string with length 13 and uid string with length 250. Check the length of hid and uid strings separately to prevent buffer overflow. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE. | ||||

| CVE-2022-49804 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-07 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390: avoid using global register for current_stack_pointer Commit 30de14b1884b ("s390: current_stack_pointer shouldn't be a function") made current_stack_pointer a global register variable like on many other architectures. Unfortunately on s390 it uncovers old gcc bug which is fixed only since gcc-9.1 [gcc commit 3ad7fed1cc87 ("S/390: Fix PR89775. Stackpointer save/restore instructions removed")] and backported to gcc-8.4 and later. Due to this bug gcc versions prior to 8.4 generate broken code which leads to stack corruptions. Current minimal gcc version required to build the kernel is declared as 5.1. It is not possible to fix all old gcc versions, so work around this problem by avoiding using global register variable for current_stack_pointer. | ||||

| CVE-2021-4034 | 7 Canonical, Oracle, Polkit Project and 4 more | 37 Ubuntu Linux, Http Server, Zfs Storage Appliance Kit and 34 more | 2025-11-06 | 7.8 High |
| A local privilege escalation vulnerability was found on polkit's pkexec utility. The pkexec application is a setuid tool designed to allow unprivileged users to run commands as privileged users according predefined policies. The current version of pkexec doesn't handle the calling parameters count correctly and ends trying to execute environment variables as commands. An attacker can leverage this by crafting environment variables in such a way it'll induce pkexec to execute arbitrary code. When successfully executed the attack can cause a local privilege escalation given unprivileged users administrative rights on the target machine. | ||||
| CVE-2025-23158 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2025-11-05 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: hfi: add check to handle incorrect queue size qsize represents size of shared queued between driver and video firmware. Firmware can modify this value to an invalid large value. In such situation, empty_space will be bigger than the space actually available. Since new_wr_idx is not checked, so the following code will result in an OOB write. ... qsize = qhdr->q_size if (wr_idx >= rd_idx) empty_space = qsize - (wr_idx - rd_idx) .... if (new_wr_idx < qsize) { memcpy(wr_ptr, packet, dwords << 2) --> OOB write Add check to ensure qsize is within the allocated size while reading and writing packets into the queue. | ||||
