| CVE-2026-19696 | 2 Microsoft, Wireshark | 2 Windows, Wireshark | 2026-09-01 | 6.6 Medium |
| Ixia IxVeriWave and Vector Informatik BLF file parser crashes in 4.6.0 to 4.6.7 allows denial of service on Windows | ||||
| CVE-2026-81893 | 2 Gnome, Redhat | 2 Gdk-pixbuf, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-01 | 4.7 Medium |
| A flaw was found in gdk-pixbuf. When loading a specially crafted JPEG image containing chunked ICC profile markers, an error during ICC profile parsing can leave stale size metadata after the profile buffer is freed. A subsequent allocation in the same decode can cause an out-of-bounds write, potentially crashing the application. To exploit this flaw, an application using gdk-pixbuf must process the malicious JPEG image. Affected version >= 2.26.4 | ||||
| CVE-2026-40013 | 1 Open-xchange | 2 Ox Dovecot Ce, Ox Dovecot Pro | 2026-09-01 | 4.3 Medium |
| An attacker that has valid credentials can submit a Sieve script containing an extreme numeric literal, which causes an out-of-bounds write when the ManageSieve service compiles the script. This causes memory corruption and an observed crash of the ManageSieve process, resulting in denial of service for script management. This might be able to be used for remote code execution. Disable the ManageSieve service if users do not need remote Sieve script management. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14368 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-09-01 | 5.4 Medium |
| The LwM2M JSON content formatter's get_string() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_rw_json.c copies a parsed JSON string into a caller-supplied buffer and NUL-terminates it. The length guard used if (string_length > buflen), which accepts a string whose length is exactly buflen. After memcpy() fills the whole buffer, buf[string_length] = '\0' then writes one byte past the end of the buffer (CWE-787). The string value and its length are taken directly from the incoming CoAP payload during a LwM2M WRITE: do_write_op_json() parses the payload obtained from coap_packet_get_payload(), and get_string() is invoked from lwm2m_write_handler() (engine_get_string() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_message_handling.c) for a LWM2M_RES_TYPE_STRING resource. The destination buf/buflen is either the resource instance's fixed data buffer (res_inst->data_ptr/max_data_len) or the engine validation buffer (msg->ctx->validate_buf). A LwM2M server (the client's DTLS peer) can therefore write a string resource with a value whose length equals the target buffer size and force a one-byte overflow. The overflow is a single out-of-bounds write of the constant byte 0x00 immediately past the resource or validation buffer, corrupting the adjacent byte in memory. It is not an information leak and the written value is fixed, so it is not a direct code-execution primitive, but it can corrupt adjacent state (an adjacent resource value, a length/flag field, or a struct field) and cause data corruption or a crash. Triggering the write is deterministic; the resulting impact depends on memory layout. The fix changes the guard to string_length >= buflen, rejecting the exact-length case and aligning the JSON formatter with the other content formatters (lwm2m_rw_plain_text.c, lwm2m_rw_oma_tlv.c, lwm2m_rw_senml_json.c, lwm2m_rw_cbor.c, lwm2m_rw_senml_cbor.c), which already used the correct boundary check. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58049 | 1 Ffmpeg | 1 Ffmpeg | 2026-09-01 | 8.6 High |
| FFmpeg's RASC video decoder (decode_dlta in libavcodec/rasc.c) performs 32-bit reads and writes at the row cursor before the NEXT_LINE row-boundary check and validates the DLTA region in pixel rather than byte units, so a DLTA run on a PAL8 frame can access several bytes past the row allocation. A crafted media stream using the RASC FourCC, decoded by libavcodec, triggers a bitstream-controlled out-of-bounds heap write and adjacent out-of-bounds read, leading to memory corruption. | ||||
| CVE-2026-19499 | 1 Gnu | 1 Glibc | 2026-08-31 | 6.8 Medium |
| A flaw was found in glibc. The strfmon and strfmon_l functions are vulnerable to a buffer overflow when processing right-justified width padding. This occurs because an incorrect length is used for an internal memory operation, causing data to be written beyond its intended buffer. An attacker could exploit this by providing specially crafted input, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or other severe impacts. | ||||
| CVE-2026-19542 | 1 Gnu | 1 Glibc | 2026-08-31 | 4.2 Medium |
| A flaw was found in glibc. An out-of-bounds array write vulnerability exists within the `tdelete` function. This issue occurs due to incorrect management of array sizes, which can lead to memory corruption. A local attacker with low privileges could potentially exploit this to cause a denial of service or disclose sensitive information. | ||||
| CVE-2026-34620 | 1 Adobe | 1 Dng Software Development Kit | 2026-08-31 | 5.5 Medium |
| DNG SDK versions 1.7.1 2502 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could lead to application denial-of-service. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to corrupt memory, causing the application to crash or become unresponsive. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. | ||||

| CVE-2025-6021 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 30 Discovery, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 27 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in libxml2's xmlBuildQName function, where integer overflows in buffer size calculations can lead to a stack-based buffer overflow. This issue can result in memory corruption or a denial of service when processing crafted input. | ||||
| CVE-2025-0624 | 1 Redhat | 7 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.6 High |
| A flaw was found in grub2. During the network boot process, when trying to search for the configuration file, grub copies data from a user controlled environment variable into an internal buffer using the grub_strcpy() function. During this step, it fails to consider the environment variable length when allocating the internal buffer, resulting in an out-of-bounds write. If correctly exploited, this issue may result in remote code execution through the same network segment grub is searching for the boot information, which can be used to by-pass secure boot protections. | ||||
| CVE-2026-82680 | 1 D-link | 1 Dsm-g600 | 2026-08-31 | 8.8 High |
| A weakness has been identified in D-Link DSM-G600 1.01. This affects an unknown function of the file /load_file.cgi of the component Multipart Handler. Executing a manipulation can lead to out-of-bounds write. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80671 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-31 | 9.3 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf sched: Fix register_pid() overflow, strcpy, and BUG_ON register_pid() has several issues when processing untrusted perf.data: 1. Integer overflow: (pid + 1) * sizeof(struct task_desc *) can wrap to a small value on 32-bit systems when pid is large (e.g. 0x40000000), causing realloc to return a tiny buffer followed by out-of-bounds writes in the initialization loop. 2. Heap buffer overflow: strcpy(task->comm, comm) copies the untrusted comm string into a fixed 20-byte COMM_LEN buffer with no length check. 3. BUG_ON on allocation failure: perf.data is untrusted input, so allocation failures should be handled gracefully rather than killing the process. 4. Realloc of sched->tasks assigned directly back, leaking the old pointer on failure; nr_tasks incremented before the realloc, leaving corrupted state on failure. Cap pid at PID_MAX_LIMIT (4194304, matching the kernel's maximum on 64-bit), replace strcpy with strlcpy, guard against NULL comm, replace BUG_ON with NULL returns using safe realloc patterns, and add NULL checks in callers that dereference the result. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58087 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-08-31 | 7.8 High |
| The GETALL and SETALL commands in semctl(2) recorded the number of semaphores in the target set, dropped the lock protecting the set, allocated a buffer sized for that count, and reacquired the lock. A sequence-number check was used to verify that the set had not been replaced in the interim, but the sequence number wraps after 0x8000 create/destroy cycles. By rapidly destroying and recreating semaphore sets at the same index, another process can cause the sequence number to wrap, allowing a set with a different number of semaphores to pass validation. The subsequent copy then reads or writes past the end of the allocated buffer. An unprivileged local user can trigger out-of-bounds reads and writes on kernel heap memory, potentially leading to privilege escalation. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58088 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-08-31 | 7.4 High |
| The ELF core dump code counted the number of dumpable VM map entries, allocated a buffer for the corresponding program headers, then iterated over the map a second time to populate them. A process sharing the address space via rfork(2) can mutate the map between the two passes, causing the second pass to write program headers past the end of the buffer. An unprivileged local user sharing an address space with a process that dumps core can trigger an out-of-bounds write on the kernel heap, potentially leading to privilege escalation. | ||||
