| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/stm: ltdc: fix late dereference check In ltdc_crtc_set_crc_source(), struct drm_crtc was dereferenced in a container_of() before the pointer check. This could cause a kernel panic. Fix this smatch warning: drivers/gpu/drm/stm/ltdc.c:1124 ltdc_crtc_set_crc_source() warn: variable dereferenced before check 'crtc' (see line 1119) | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soundwire: bus: Fix unbalanced pm_runtime_put() causing usage count underflow This reverts commit 443a98e649b4 ("soundwire: bus: use pm_runtime_resume_and_get()") Change calls to pm_runtime_resume_and_get() back to pm_runtime_get_sync(). This fixes a usage count underrun caused by doing a pm_runtime_put() even though pm_runtime_resume_and_get() returned an error. The three affected functions ignore -EACCES error from trying to get pm_runtime, and carry on, including a put at the end of the function. But pm_runtime_resume_and_get() does not increment the usage count if it returns an error. So in the -EACCES case you must not call pm_runtime_put(). The documentation for pm_runtime_get_sync() says: "Consider using pm_runtime_resume_and_get() ... as this is likely to result in cleaner code." In this case I don't think it results in cleaner code because the pm_runtime_put() at the end of the function would have to be conditional on the return value from pm_runtime_resume_and_get() at the top of the function. pm_runtime_get_sync() doesn't have this problem because it always increments the count, so always needs a put. The code can just flow through and do the pm_runtime_put() unconditionally. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/arm_dmc620: Fix hotplug callback leak in dmc620_pmu_init() dmc620_pmu_init() won't remove the callback added by cpuhp_setup_state_multi() when platform_driver_register() failed. Remove the callback by cpuhp_remove_multi_state() in fail path. Similar to the handling of arm_ccn_init() in commit 26242b330093 ("bus: arm-ccn: Prevent hotplug callback leak") | ||||
| CVE-2023-54183 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l2-core: Fix a potential resource leak in v4l2_fwnode_parse_link() If fwnode_graph_get_remote_endpoint() fails, 'fwnode' is known to be NULL, so fwnode_handle_put() is a no-op. Release the reference taken from a previous fwnode_graph_get_port_parent() call instead. Also handle fwnode_graph_get_port_parent() failures. In order to fix these issues, add an error handling path to the function and the needed gotos. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext2: Add sanity checks for group and filesystem size Add sanity check that filesystem size does not exceed the underlying device size and that group size is big enough so that metadata can fit into it. This avoid trying to mount some crafted filesystems with extremely large group counts. | ||||

| CVE-2023-54181 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix issue in verifying allow_ptr_leaks After we converted the capabilities of our networking-bpf program from cap_sys_admin to cap_net_admin+cap_bpf, our networking-bpf program failed to start. Because it failed the bpf verifier, and the error log is "R3 pointer comparison prohibited". A simple reproducer as follows, SEC("cls-ingress") int ingress(struct __sk_buff *skb) { struct iphdr *iph = (void *)(long)skb->data + sizeof(struct ethhdr); if ((long)(iph + 1) > (long)skb->data_end) return TC_ACT_STOLEN; return TC_ACT_OK; } Per discussion with Yonghong and Alexei [1], comparison of two packet pointers is not a pointer leak. This patch fixes it. Our local kernel is 6.1.y and we expect this fix to be backported to 6.1.y, so stable is CCed. | CVE-2023-53758 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: atmel-quadspi: Free resources even if runtime resume failed in .remove() An early error exit in atmel_qspi_remove() doesn't prevent the device unbind. So this results in an spi controller with an unbound parent and unmapped register space (because devm_ioremap_resource() is undone). So using the remaining spi controller probably results in an oops. Instead unregister the controller unconditionally and only skip hardware access and clk disable. Also add a warning about resume failing and return zero unconditionally. The latter has the only effect to suppress a less helpful error message by the spi core. | ||||

Although this init_waitqueue_head() call will very likely complete before this kthread is created and starts running, it is possible that the calling kthread will be delayed between the calls to torture_create_kthread() and init_waitqueue_head(). In this case, the new kthread will use the waitqueue head before it is properly initialized, which is not good for the kernel's health and well-being. The above crash happened here: static inline void __add_wait_queue(...) { : if (!(wq->flags & WQ_FLAG_PRIORITY)) <=== Crash here The offset of flags from list_head entry in wait_queue_entry is -0x18. If reader_tasks[i].wq.head.next is NULL as allocated reader_task structure is zero initialized, the instruction will try to access address 0xffffffffffffffe8, which is exactly the fault address listed above. This commit therefore invokes init_waitqueue_head() before creating the kthread. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: ptdma: check for null desc before calling pt_cmd_callback Resolves a panic that can occur on AMD systems, typically during host shutdown, after the PTDMA driver had been exercised. The issue was the pt_issue_pending() function is mistakenly assuming that there will be at least one descriptor in the Submitted queue when the function is called. However, it is possible that both the Submitted and Issued queues could be empty, which could result in pt_cmd_callback() being mistakenly called with a NULL pointer. Ref: Bugzilla Bug 216856. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/hyperv: Disable IBT when hypercall page lacks ENDBR instruction On hardware that supports Indirect Branch Tracking (IBT), Hyper-V VMs with ConfigVersion 9.3 or later support IBT in the guest. However, current versions of Hyper-V have a bug in that there's not an ENDBR64 instruction at the beginning of the hypercall page. Since hypercalls are made with an indirect call to the hypercall page, all hypercall attempts fail with an exception and Linux panics. A Hyper-V fix is in progress to add ENDBR64. But guard against the Linux panic by clearing X86_FEATURE_IBT if the hypercall page doesn't start with ENDBR. The VM will boot and run without IBT. If future Linux 32-bit kernels were to support IBT, additional hypercall page hackery would be needed to make IBT work for such kernels in a Hyper-V VM. | ||||
