| CVE-2023-54314 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: af9005: Fix null-ptr-deref in af9005_i2c_xfer In af9005_i2c_xfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be passed. Malicious data finally reach af9005_i2c_xfer. If accessing msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen. We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash. When we hit an error we free it all up, however this also calls btrfs_discard_update_discardable, which requires block_group->free_space_ctl->tree_lock to be held. However this is our temporary ctl so this lock isn't held. Fix this by calling __btrfs_remove_free_space_cache_locked instead so that we only clean up the entries and do not mess with the discardable stats. | ||||
| CVE-2023-54025 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rsi: Do not configure WoWlan in shutdown hook if not enabled In case WoWlan was never configured during the operation of the system, the hw->wiphy->wowlan_config will be NULL. rsi_config_wowlan() checks whether wowlan_config is non-NULL and if it is not, then WARNs about it. The warning is valid, as during normal operation the rsi_config_wowlan() should only ever be called with non-NULL wowlan_config. In shutdown this rsi_config_wowlan() should only ever be called if WoWlan was configured before by the user. Add checks for non-NULL wowlan_config into the shutdown hook. While at it, check whether the wiphy is also non-NULL before accessing wowlan_config . Drop the single-use wowlan_config variable, just inline it into function call. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: core: Prevent invalid memory access when there is no parent Commit 813665564b3d ("iio: core: Convert to use firmware node handle instead of OF node") switched the kind of nodes to use for label retrieval in device registration. Probably an unwanted change in that commit was that if the device has no parent then NULL pointer is accessed. This is what happens in the stock IIO dummy driver when a new entry is created in configfs: # mkdir /sys/kernel/config/iio/devices/dummy/foo BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: ... ... Call Trace: __iio_device_register iio_dummy_probe Since there seems to be no reason to make a parent device of an IIO dummy device mandatory, let’s prevent the invalid memory access in __iio_device_register when the parent device is NULL. With this change, the IIO dummy driver works fine with configfs. | ||||

| CVE-2025-43079 | 3 Linux, Qualys, Qualys Inc | 4 Linux, Cloud Agent, Cloud Agent For Linux and 1 more | 2026-04-15 | 6.3 Medium |
| The Qualys Cloud Agent included a bundled uninstall script (qagent_uninstall.sh), specific to Mac and Linux supported versions that invoked multiple system commands without using absolute paths and without sanitizing the $PATH environment. If the uninstall script is executed with elevated privileges (e.g., via sudo) in an environment where $PATH has been manipulated, an attacker with root/sudo privileges could cause malicious executables to be run in place of the intended system binaries. This behavior can be leveraged for local privilege escalation and arbitrary command execution under elevated privileges. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40341 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: futex: Don't leak robust_list pointer on exec race sys_get_robust_list() and compat_get_robust_list() use ptrace_may_access() to check if the calling task is allowed to access another task's robust_list pointer. This check is racy against a concurrent exec() in the target process. During exec(), a task may transition from a non-privileged binary to a privileged one (e.g., setuid binary) and its credentials/memory mappings may change. If get_robust_list() performs ptrace_may_access() before this transition, it may erroneously allow access to sensitive information after the target becomes privileged. A racy access allows an attacker to exploit a window during which ptrace_may_access() passes before a target process transitions to a privileged state via exec(). For example, consider a non-privileged task T that is about to execute a setuid-root binary. An attacker task A calls get_robust_list(T) while T is still unprivileged. Since ptrace_may_access() checks permissions based on current credentials, it succeeds. However, if T begins exec immediately afterwards, it becomes privileged and may change its memory mappings. Because get_robust_list() proceeds to access T->robust_list without synchronizing with exec() it may read user-space pointers from a now-privileged process. This violates the intended post-exec access restrictions and could expose sensitive memory addresses or be used as a primitive in a larger exploit chain. Consequently, the race can lead to unauthorized disclosure of information across privilege boundaries and poses a potential security risk. Take a read lock on signal->exec_update_lock prior to invoking ptrace_may_access() and accessing the robust_list/compat_robust_list. This ensures that the target task's exec state remains stable during the check, allowing for consistent and synchronized validation of credentials. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix infinite loop in __insert_extent_tree() When we get wrong extent info data, and look up extent_node in rb tree, it will cause infinite loop (CONFIG_F2FS_CHECK_FS=n). Avoiding this by return NULL and print some kernel messages in that case. | ||||
| CVE-2025-40330 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Shutdown FW DMA in bnxt_shutdown() The netif_close() call in bnxt_shutdown() only stops packet DMA. There may be FW DMA for trace logging (recently added) that will continue. If we kexec to a new kernel, the DMA will corrupt memory in the new kernel. Add bnxt_hwrm_func_drv_unrgtr() to unregister the driver from the FW. This will stop the FW DMA. In case the call fails, call pcie_flr() to reset the function and stop the DMA. | ||||
| CVE-2023-53796 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix information leak in f2fs_move_inline_dirents() When converting an inline directory to a regular one, f2fs is leaking uninitialized memory to disk because it doesn't initialize the entire directory block. Fix this by zero-initializing the block. This bug was introduced by commit 4ec17d688d74 ("f2fs: avoid unneeded initializing when converting inline dentry"), which didn't consider the security implications of leaking uninitialized memory to disk. This was found by running xfstest generic/435 on a KMSAN-enabled kernel. | ||||
| CVE-2023-53802 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: htc_hst: free skb in ath9k_htc_rx_msg() if there is no callback function It is stated that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() either frees the provided skb or passes its management to another callback function. However, the skb is not freed in case there is no another callback function, and Syzkaller was able to cause a memory leak. Also minor comment fix. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller. | ||||
| CVE-2022-50653 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: atmel-mci: fix return value check of mmc_add_host() mmc_add_host() may return error, if we ignore its return value, it will lead two issues: 1. The memory that allocated in mmc_alloc_host() is leaked. 2. In the remove() path, mmc_remove_host() will be called to delete device, but it's not added yet, it will lead a kernel crash because of null-ptr-deref in device_del(). So fix this by checking the return value and calling mmc_free_host() in the error path. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68375 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86: Fix NULL event access and potential PEBS record loss When intel_pmu_drain_pebs_icl() is called to drain PEBS records, the perf_event_overflow() could be called to process the last PEBS record. While perf_event_overflow() could trigger the interrupt throttle and stop all events of the group, like what the below call-chain shows. perf_event_overflow() -> __perf_event_overflow() ->__perf_event_account_interrupt() -> perf_event_throttle_group() -> perf_event_throttle() -> event->pmu->stop() -> x86_pmu_stop() The side effect of stopping the events is that all corresponding event pointers in cpuc->events[] array are cleared to NULL. Assume there are two PEBS events (event a and event b) in a group. When intel_pmu_drain_pebs_icl() calls perf_event_overflow() to process the last PEBS record of PEBS event a, interrupt throttle is triggered and all pointers of event a and event b are cleared to NULL. Then intel_pmu_drain_pebs_icl() tries to process the last PEBS record of event b and encounters NULL pointer access. To avoid this issue, move cpuc->events[] clearing from x86_pmu_stop() to x86_pmu_del(). It's safe since cpuc->active_mask or cpuc->pebs_enabled is always checked before access the event pointer from cpuc->events[]. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68376 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coresight: ETR: Fix ETR buffer use-after-free issue When ETR is enabled as CS_MODE_SYSFS, if the buffer size is changed and enabled again, currently sysfs_buf will point to the newly allocated memory(buf_new) and free the old memory(buf_old). But the etr_buf that is being used by the ETR remains pointed to buf_old, not updated to buf_new. In this case, it will result in a memory use-after-free issue. Fix this by checking ETR's mode before updating and releasing buf_old, if the mode is CS_MODE_SYSFS, then skip updating and releasing it. | ||||
| CVE-2025-61667 | 2 Datadoghq, Linux | 2 Agent, Linux | 2026-04-15 | 7.3 High |
| The Datadog Agent collects events and metrics from hosts and sends them to Datadog. A vulnerability within the Datadog Linux Host Agent versions 7.65.0 through 7.70.2 exists due to insufficient permissions being set on the `opt/datadog-agent/python-scripts/__pycache__` directory during installation. Code in this directory is only run by the Agent during Agent install/upgrades. This could allow an attacker with local access to modify files in this directory, which would then subsequently be run when the Agent is upgraded, resulting in local privilege escalation. This issue requires local access to the host and a valid low privilege account to be vulnerable. Note that this vulnerability only impacts the Linux Host Agent. Other variations of the Agent including the container, kubernetes, windows host and other agents are not impacted. Version 7.71.0 contains a patch for the issue. | ||||

| CVE-2025-68807 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: fix race between wbt_enable_default and IO submission When wbt_enable_default() is moved out of queue freezing in elevator_change(), it can cause the wbt inflight counter to become negative (-1), leading to hung tasks in the writeback path. Tasks get stuck in wbt_wait() because the counter is in an inconsistent state. The issue occurs because wbt_enable_default() could race with IO submission, allowing the counter to be decremented before proper initialization. This manifests as: rq_wait[0]: inflight: -1 has_waiters: True rwb_enabled() checks the state, which can be updated exactly between wbt_wait() (rq_qos_throttle()) and wbt_track()(rq_qos_track()), then the inflight counter will become negative. And results in hung task warnings like: task:kworker/u24:39 state:D stack:0 pid:14767 Call Trace: rq_qos_wait+0xb4/0x150 wbt_wait+0xa9/0x100 __rq_qos_throttle+0x24/0x40 blk_mq_submit_bio+0x672/0x7b0 ... Fix this by: 1. Splitting wbt_enable_default() into: - __wbt_enable_default(): Returns true if wbt_init() should be called - wbt_enable_default(): Wrapper for existing callers (no init) - wbt_init_enable_default(): New function that checks and inits WBT 2. Using wbt_init_enable_default() in blk_register_queue() to ensure proper initialization during queue registration 3. Move wbt_init() out of wbt_enable_default() which is only for enabling disabled wbt from bfq and iocost, and wbt_init() isn't needed. Then the original lock warning can be avoided. 4. Removing the ELEVATOR_FLAG_ENABLE_WBT_ON_EXIT flag and its handling code since it's no longer needed This ensures WBT is properly initialized before any IO can be submitted, preventing the counter from going negative. | ||||
