CVE-2026-110288 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-11-04 N/A
A cross-site request forgery vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to delete stored Slack and Microsoft Teams ChatOps configuration and provider credentials by inducing an authenticated Management Console operator's browser to send a cross-site GET request to the integration removal endpoint without a CSRF token. Exploitation required configured ChatOps integrations and an operator visiting attacker-controlled content while signed in to the Management Console; deletion could disrupt ChatOps notifications and commands when configuration was applied or services reloaded. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.23 and was fixed in versions 3.19.14, 3.20.10, 3.21.8, and 3.22.3. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2024-6800 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-11-04 9.8 Critical
An XML signature wrapping vulnerability was present in GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) when using SAML authentication with specific identity providers utilizing publicly exposed signed federation metadata XML. This vulnerability allowed an attacker with direct network access to GitHub Enterprise Server to forge a SAML response to provision and/or gain access to a user with site administrator privileges. Exploitation of this vulnerability would allow unauthorized access to the instance without requiring prior authentication. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.14 and was fixed in versions 3.13.3, 3.12.8, 3.11.14, and 3.10.16. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-118237 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-11-04 N/A
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server in the Git service (babeld). When proving possession of a host key, babeld's SSH implementation sized the session identifier by the current digest length rather than its own. An attacker with an account and SSH access could re-key to an algorithm with a longer hash, causing adjacent process memory to be signed and returned to the client, where a limited amount of it may be recoverable. This vulnerability affected all releases prior to 3.23 and was fixed in versions 3.22.3, 3.21.8, 3.20.10, and 3.19.14. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-104608 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-11-04 N/A
A remote code execution vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server in the Git service (babeld). babeld held references into internal collections while calling into the SSH library, where a re-entrant callback could modify a collection and invalidate those references. An attacker with an account and SSH access to the instance could leverage this use-after-free into a controlled write and run arbitrary commands as babeld, including disclosure of its environment secrets. Exploitation required per-build memory offsets; failed attempts crashed babeld. This affected all releases prior to 3.23 and was fixed in 3.22.3, 3.21.8, 3.20.10, and 3.19.14. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-29783 1 Github 2 Copilot, Copilot Command Line Interface 2026-11-03 7.8 High
The shell tool within GitHub Copilot CLI versions prior to and including 0.0.422 can allow arbitrary code execution through crafted bash parameter expansion patterns. An attacker who can influence the commands executed by the agent (e.g., via prompt injection through repository files, MCP server responses, or user instructions) can exploit bash parameter transformation operators to execute hidden commands, bypassing the safety assessment that classifies commands as "read-only." This has been patched in version 0.0.423. The vulnerability stems from how the CLI's shell safety assessment evaluates commands before execution. The safety layer parses and classifies shell commands as either read-only (safe) or write-capable (requires user approval). However, several bash parameter expansion features can embed executable code within arguments to otherwise read-only commands, causing them to appear safe while actually performing arbitrary operations. The specific dangerous patterns are ${var@P}, ${var=value} / ${var:=value}, ${!var}, and nested $(cmd) or <(cmd) inside ${...} expansions. An attacker who can influence command text sent to the shell tool - for example, through prompt injection via malicious repository content (README files, code comments, issue bodies), compromised or malicious MCP server responses, or crafted user instructions containing obfuscated commands - could achieve arbitrary code execution on the user's workstation. This is possible even in permission modes that require user approval for write operations, since the commands can appear to use only read-only utilities to ultimately trigger write operations. Successful exploitation could lead to data exfiltration, file modification, or further system compromise.
CVE-2026-15343 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-11-03 N/A
A path traversal vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker with code execution inside a Dependabot updater container to write files to arbitrary repository paths, including GitHub Actions workflow files under .github/workflows/, because path validation did not check the actual write destination. The initial fix in versions 3.21.3, 3.20.5, 3.19.9, 3.18.12, and 3.17.18 was incomplete because validation checked the supplied symlink target, while the publisher wrote the file using its directory and name. Writing GitHub Actions workflow files required the Dependabot installation to have workflows: write permission. Depending on repository permissions and workflow configuration, including a relevant pull_request_target workflow or auto-merge, an injected workflow could execute with access to GitHub Actions secrets. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.23 and was fully fixed in versions 3.22.3, 3.21.8, 3.20.10, and 3.19.14. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-103620 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-10-20 6.5 Medium
A missing authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed a repository collaborator with write access to delete the current default branch through the GraphQL API and cause an attacker-controlled branch to become the new default. In repositories that required pull-request review but did not restrict branch deletion, this bypassed the review requirement and caused fresh clones and default-branch API requests to use attacker-controlled content. This vulnerability affected supported GitHub Enterprise Server releases in the 3.18, 3.19, 3.20, 3.21, and 3.22 series and was fixed in versions 3.18.16, 3.19.13, 3.20.9, 3.21.7, and 3.22.2. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-96890 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-10-09 8.8 High
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed a repository contributor to cause the appliance to issue requests to attacker-controlled internal hosts, which could be chained to achieve remote code execution on the appliance. The secret scanning validator for GCP service account credentials trusted the token endpoint embedded in a committed credential and issued a request to it without restricting the destination. Exploitation required an authenticated user with permission to push to a repository on an instance with GitHub Advanced Security and secret scanning validity checks enabled, a non-default configuration. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server 3.20, 3.21, and 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.20.9, 3.21.7, and 3.22.2. This vulnerability was reported through the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-75101 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-10-02 6.5 Medium
An authorization bypass vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed any authenticated user of the instance to read the raw diff or patch of pull requests in private repositories without authorization. Access tokens for raw pull request diffs and patches were scoped to the repository name and pull request number rather than to a globally unique repository identifier, so an attacker who created a repository and pull request matching a target's repository name and pull request number could use a token for their own repository to retrieve the private pull request's contents. Exploitation required the attacker to know the target repository's name and a valid pull request number. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.21, 3.18.15, 3.19.12, 3.20.8, and 3.21.6. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-77912 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-10-02 5.4 Medium
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated attacker to inject arbitrary HTML attributes into rendered Markdown because the Markdown rendering pipeline rewrote quote characters in already-sanitized HTML without re-sanitizing the result. Crafted Markdown could abuse same-origin JavaScript gadgets to bypass Content Security Policy and gain control of the page DOM when viewed by another user. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to read content visible to the victim, extract embedded CSRF tokens, perform state-changing actions as the victim, and exfiltrate data through same-origin writes. The payload could also propagate to repositories and organizations where the victim had write access. This vulnerability affected supported GitHub Enterprise Server releases in the 3.17, 3.18, 3.19, 3.20, 3.21, and 3.22 series and was fixed in versions 3.22.1, 3.21.6, 3.20.8, 3.19.12, 3.18.15, and 3.17.21. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-77987 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-10-02 9.8 Critical
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in the notebook viewer of GitHub Enterprise Server. The notebook viewer validated the scheme and host of a user-supplied URL but did not validate the port, allowing requests to be directed to internal services listening on other ports of the same appliance. Response bodies were not returned to the requester, but response timing acted as an oracle that allowed instance secrets to be extracted character by character. An extracted secret could then be used in a separate interaction with an internal service to obtain remote code execution on the appliance. Exploitation required network access to the instance and was unauthenticated when private mode was disabled, or required any authenticated user when private mode was enabled. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server versions 3.17 through 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.22.1, 3.21.6, 3.20.8, 3.19.12, 3.18.15, and 3.17.21. This vulnerability was reported through the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-18730 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-09-22 7.4 High
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause the Manage API to send crafted outbound requests to an attacker-controlled host. An unauthenticated endpoint parsed an attacker-supplied cluster configuration and issued gateway-to-agent requests whose HMAC authenticated only a timestamp, not the request path or body. An attacker positioned to intercept the outbound request could capture this token and replay it against privileged management agent endpoints. High-availability deployments were not affected due to a topology restriction. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server releases in the 3.17, 3.18, 3.19, 3.20, and 3.21 series and was fixed in versions 3.17.21, 3.18.15, 3.19.12, 3.20.8, and 3.21.6. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-19118 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-09-08 7.5 High
A time-of-check time-of-use race condition vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed remote code execution. Exploitation required an authenticated user with write access to a repository and precise timing of concurrent upload requests. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.20, 3.18.14, 3.19.11, 3.20.7, and 3.21.5. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-76851 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-09-08 8.8 High
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed remote code execution on the instance. Insufficient network isolation allowed malicious pre-receive hook code to impersonate an internal service and redirect trusted internal requests to a privileged service, leading to elevated code execution. Exploitation required pre-receive hook networking to be enabled and either site administrator privileges or write access to a repository containing a configured pre-receive hook. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.17.20, 3.18.14, 3.19.11, 3.20.7, and 3.21.5. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-18952 3 Amazon, Aws, Github 3 Aws Opensearch, Opensearch, Opensearch 2026-08-21 8.1 High
Missing input validation in the threat intelligence feed parser in the OpenSearch Security Analytics plugin might allow an authenticated remote user to perform server-side request forgery and read local files via a crafted URL parameter to the threat intel source configuration endpoint.
CVE-2026-15996 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-08-18 7.5 High
A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause excessive CPU consumption and exhaust the pool of request-handling worker processes by sending a crafted form-encoded HTTP POST request containing deeply nested parameters. Because request parameters were parsed before routing and authentication, any POST endpoint could be used to trigger the condition, which could render the instance unresponsive. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.3, 3.19.7, 3.18.10, and 3.17.16.
CVE-2026-17556 1 Github 1 Enterprise Server 2026-08-18 9.1 Critical
A path traversal vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to delete arbitrary files and directories on the instance, including the entire user storage directory containing Git LFS objects, release assets, attachments, and avatars. The X-GitHub-Request-Id request header was used without sanitization as a filesystem path segment for the upload buffer directory, so a traversal value pointed the buffer at an arbitrary path and the deferred cleanup routine recursively removed the traversed target. Exploitation required only network reachability to the instance and no authentication, and it worked even when private mode was enabled. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.21.4, 3.20.6, 3.19.10, 3.18.13 and 3.17.19. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
CVE-2026-18428 2 Aws, Github 2 Opensearch, Opensearch 2026-08-13 8.8 High
A SQL query validation bypass in the Flint extension query handler in the OpenSearch SQL plugin allows a remote authenticated actor with async query access to execute arbitrary code on Apache Spark workers by sending a crafted SQL query to the direct query endpoint.
CVE-2026-19311 2 Aws, Github 2 Opensearch, Opensearch 2026-08-12 8.1 High
Missing authorization in the Execute Monitor API in Amazon OpenSearch Alerting plugin might allow an authenticated remote user to read, modify, or delete arbitrary index data via a crafted inline monitor request with unintentional data source and input index parameters.
CVE-2026-47427 1 Github 2 Github-mcp-server, Mcp Server 2026-07-28 7.5 High
GitHub MCP Server is GitHub's official MCP Server. Prior to 1.1.0, the CompletionsHandler function in pkg/github/server.go accesses params.Ref without first checking whether it is nil, so a completion/complete request with a missing or empty ref field triggers a nil pointer dereference and a Go runtime panic; because the crash occurs before any authentication or token validation, any unauthenticated client able to send JSON-RPC messages can crash the server, resulting in a complete denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.0.
