| CVE-2026-76894 | 1 Ondata | 1 Ckan-mcp-server | 2026-11-04 | 3.1 Low |
| CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to 0.4.112, the DataStore table UI in src/resources/datastore-table-ui.ts accepts window message events without validating event.origin and sends JSON-RPC messages through postMessage with a wildcard target origin. A frame that can reach the embedded document can inject fabricated fields or records, spoof pending ui/initialize responses, disrupt the MCP UI handshake, or receive outbound messages when the resource is embedded by an untrusted parent. Values are HTML escaped, so the demonstrated content injection is display spoofing rather than script execution, and exploitability depends on the host embedding model. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.112. | ||||
| CVE-2026-61612 | 1 Ondata | 1 Ckan-mcp-server | 2026-09-21 | 5.7 Medium |
| CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to version 0.4.108, the SSRF guard `validateServerUrl` (added for CVE-2026-33060, extended for CVE-2026-53509) validates only the hostname string and never resolves DNS. Any caller-supplied `server_url` whose hostname *resolves* to an internal address passes the guard, so the server issues requests to loopback and cloud metadata (`169.254.169.254`). This is a third bypass of the same guard, and it reaches IMDS — strictly more than CVE-2026-53509, which only reached loopback. Version 0.4.108 contains an updated fix. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53509 | 1 Ondata | 1 Ckan-mcp-server | 2026-08-21 | 5.7 Medium |
| CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. A known vulnerability CVE-2026-33060 indicated tools including ckan_package_search and sparql_query that accept a base_url parameter had the risk of making HTTP requests to arbitrary endpoints without restriction. A fix was applied to filter out ip addresses. However, a method to bypass exists prior to version 0.4.106. CKAN MCP Server validates caller-supplied CKAN server URLs by inspecting only the parsed hostname string before issuing outbound HTTP requests. In `src/utils/http.ts`, hostname aliases such as `ip6-localhost` are not equal to `localhost`, are not dotted IPv4 literals, and are not bracketed IPv6 literals, so they pass the SSRF filter but can resolve to loopback when the server performs the request. A remote MCP caller that can invoke CKAN tools with a `server_url` can therefore make the server connect to local or private addresses and, for CKAN-shaped responses, receive response-derived data. The updated fix in version 0.4.106 replaced the single `hostname === 'localhost'` check with a blocked-hostname `Set` covering `ip6-localhost` and `ip6-loopback`. | ||||
| CVE-2026-73844 | 1 Ondata | 1 Ckan-mcp-server | 2026-08-18 | 3.7 Low |
| CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to 0.4.112, error paths reflect raw upstream response bodies and internal exception messages back to the caller instead of a sanitized, generic message. When the server is pointed at (or redirected/SSRF'd to) a host that returns a non-CKAN response, or when an internal exception occurs, the caller receives verbatim upstream content and internal detail (hostnames, internal IPs, DB errors, stack fragments). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.4.112. | ||||
| CVE-2026-73846 | 1 Ondata | 1 Ckan-mcp-server | 2026-08-17 | 6.5 Medium |
| CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to 0.4.112, canonicalizeParams in src/utils/cache.ts serializes request parameters with unescaped ampersand, equals-sign, and vertical-bar delimiters, allowing different logical parameter sets used by buildCacheKey to collide and an attacker to prime a shared cache with a response for a victim's distinct query. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.112. | ||||
| CVE-2026-73845 | 1 Ondata | 1 Ckan-mcp-server | 2026-08-14 | 5.3 Medium |
| CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to 0.4.112, the ckan_get_mqa_quality and ckan_get_mqa_quality_details tools in src/tools/quality.ts use isValidMqaServer to validate the server_url parameter with a prefix-only regular expression for dati.gov.it, allowing suffix-host and URL-userinfo values to target an attacker-controlled host and return a spoofed response. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.112. | ||||
| CVE-2026-33060 | 1 Ondata | 2 Ckan-mcp-server, Ckan Mcp Server | 2026-04-17 | 5.3 Medium |
| CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Versions prior to 0.4.85 provide tools including ckan_package_search and sparql_query that accept a base_url parameter, making HTTP requests to arbitrary endpoints without restriction. A CKAN portal client has no legitimate reason to contact cloud metadata or internal network services. There is no URL validation on base_url parameter. No private IP blocking (RFC 1918, link-local 169.254.x.x), no cloud metadata blocking. The sparql_query and ckan_datastore_search_sql tools also accept arbitrary base URLs and expose injection surfaces. An attack can lead to internal network scanning, cloud metadata theft (IAM credentials via IMDS at 169.254.169.254), potential SQL/SPARQL injection via unsanitized query parameters. Attack requires prompt injection to control the base_url parameter. This issue has been fixed in version 0.4.85. | ||||
